In addition to the provision of products and goods, the logistics industry includes corporations which provide services such as packaging and shipping procedures, loading and unloading, storage in warehouses and other facilities, and management of logistics information. In Japan, the logistics industry is developing solutions for issues such as utilizing information to create high added value, creating environmentally-friendly services, and optimizing the entire supply chain.
