This is a technology that makes full use of semiconductor technology to arrange light-sensing elements in a mesh shape, and by placing an object on the mesh, it enables microscopic observation of the object due to the fineness of the mesh. Using MID, we are developing biotechnology experiment devices in space and developing biotechnology experiment services in space. We are working on the field of space biotechnology experiments as a destination for the social implementation of MID. Our company’s unique technology democratizes space experiments. By using MID in the limited space of a satellite, we will shift the space experiments conducted on the International Space Station over the past 20 years under the leadership of the government to the private sector by constructing miniature labs inside satellites.

We are also developing a microscopic observation device (MID, “Micro Imaging Device”) that does not use optics to replace conventional microscopes that use optical lenses. We carry out integrated manufacturing and development from semiconductor chips to final products.
Main products
Our main products are Cellany, a microscopic observation system for the life sciences that makes use of MID with one-chip microscopic observation technology, and AminoME, a USB stick-type microscopic observation system for personal use. The primary use of Cellany is for simple observation of human cells. AminoME targets education and hobbies and can be used with Android smartphones, computers, and microcontrollers (Raspberry Pi).
MID is also being used to develop biotechnology experiment equipment for use in space and to develop biotechnology experiment services in space.
