We have achieved the goal of using 100% renewable energy for the power used at all of our bases in Japan.
Futagawa Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has achieved its goal of supplying 100% renewable energy to the electricity used at all domestic bases. Approximately 6 GWh (5,848,297 kWh) of domestic electricity used by the entire Futagawa Group is covered with electricity generated by a floating solar power plant owned by the company in Hyogo Prefecture. Specifically, we generate electricity from two floating solar power plants in Hyogo Prefecture (Hirotaniike floating solar power plant 6,852.9 KW, Nishiike solar power plant 2,186.8 KW). We then match this electricity with a tracking system using blockchain, and supply it to Asuene Inc. (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, CEO & Representative Director: Kohei Nishiwada) as a specified wholesaler. Using an electric traceability system built on the blockchain of Asuene Inc., we can prove that the electricity generated by our floating solar power plant is being supplied.
100% Renewable energy Declaration "RE Action"
This is a framework for companies (with annual power consumption of 10 GWh or less), local governments, educational institutions, medical institutions, and other organizations to show their intention and actions to convert power used to 100% renewable energy and promote the use of 100% renewable energy. By 2050, the Group will convert all electricity used to 100% renewable energy.
