We own patents for devices that sterilize bacteria and viruses and decompose, purify, and detoxify pharmaceuticals such as disinfectants and antibacterial agents. They are based on the technology to sterilize infectious wastewater using ozone (O3) and stabilized chlorine dioxide (CℓO2). The infectious wastewater treatment systems based on the patents have been adopted by many hospitals.
- Business Description
Most hospital wastewater contains large amounts of bacteria, viruses, and pharmaceuticals such as disinfectants, antimicrobials, and anticancer drugs and is discharged into sewers and rivers untreated. This has resulted in fewer algae in the rivers, less kelp in the sea, and fewer bivalves and small fish, polluting the environment and ecosystem. Especially in the past few years, antimicrobials have been used in large quantities due to COVID-19, and pharmaceuticals are found even in drinking water in Japan. Our company owns patents for devices that sterilize bacteria and viruses and decompose, purify, and detoxify pharmaceuticals such as disinfectants and antimicrobials. Globally, 80% of wastewater from hospitals is discharged without treatment. The United Nations has announced that if this situation continues, resistance to chemicals may develop in nature and cause a pandemic beyond COVID-19. Last year, we obtained a patent for a new version of this device that significantly reduces running costs. We would like to use the device to restore the world's ecosystems.

Our company owns patents for a device that disinfects bacteria and viruses and decomposes disinfectants, antimicrobials, anticancer drugs, and other pharmaceuticals in wastewater from hospitals. Since September 2021, we have been exhibiting our video for the SDGs and communicating it to the world. This year, inquiries and event planning from the United Nations, water treatment laboratories, and foundations working on marine pollution worldwide have increased. The number is expected to grow even more next year. In Japan, we have delivered to 43 national university hospitals, university hospitals, national hospitals, and Red Cross hospitals as of 2019. Japan uses highly carcinogenic chlorine to disinfect drinking water, and there are almost no regulations or laws regarding hospital wastewater, so the regulatory level is considered very low among developed countries. Groundwater used to be drinkable, but it is hardly drinkable now. We need to thoroughly manage water, including the harmful effects of pesticides and industrial water.

We hope to expand our sales channels domestically and internationally and contribute to restoring the world's environment and ecosystems. In addition, after exhibiting our video for the SDGs in September 2021, our work has attracted the world's attention. Over the past few years, we have spent a lot of funds on the impact of COVID-19 and new patents, and we will continue to do our best for the world.
