By recycling cedar bark, we make “Sugi Road,” a soft pavement that is kind to people and the environment.
With cedar bark as our main raw material, all our raw materials including binders are made of natural materials. In the past, many products such as binders used chemical substances. We have obtained patents and various sorts of intellectual property. After many years of verification tests, weed control, durability tests, third-party expert evaluations, maintenance evaluations, and more, we completed development and the number of installations has increased. For details, please see the download materials. It can be laid directly on the ground, so excavation work is not required, shortening the construction period. Especially for children and the elderly, we make proposals for the SDGs with the aim to realize soft pavement that is kind to people, as well as a sustainable society.
