High-Torque Ultrasonic Motor
It is ideal as a motor for transport devices (e.g., stages, belt conveyors, index heads), chucking devices that repeatedly move and stop, and robot arms. The ultrasonic motor is smaller and lighter than a DC motor of the same torque and controls the position more finely than a stepping motor.
Motor Driver for Controlling Ultrasonic Motors
We developed a driver that allows you to control an ultrasonic motor in the same way as a DC motor, easily using a PLC (sequencer), Arduino, mbed, or any other board that outputs an analog voltage. We also offer a model that does not use analog voltage for control but allows full digital control via USB connection.
Development and Manufacture of Autonomous Robots and IoT Devices
As a concrete example of "co-creation" between our technology and cooperating manufacturers, Piezo Sonic is promoting a development project of an autonomous mobile robot for transportation, Mighty. We handled the entire process of "mechanism design and manufacture" and "software development" to develop the autonomous mobile robot for transport for companies, government agencies, and universities. The robot can overcome steps and is equipped with a state-of-the-art motor that maintains its posture with zero power consumption. The specifications can be customized according to the customer's needs, and it is available from one unit.
