Spinning
Our company's spinning business has continued since our founding.

During the Meiji era (1868–1912), farming was not possible in the heavy snows of winter in Yamagata, and sericulture was actively practiced.

Subsequently, from the early twentieth century to the postwar period, as people's clothing changed from kimonos to Western-style clothes, wool spinning was strengthened by national government policy in Japan. At the same time, farmers in Yamagata began to raise one or two sheep each.

Once a year, the sheep's wool was sheared. Our first president Chonosuke Sato began to have this wool collected and the raw materials were twisted on a hand-spinning machine to make yarn for hand weaving. That was the beginning of our company.

Today, cherishing our commitment to raw materials, we connect directly with local farmers in regions such as Australia and Africa so we can obtain rare wool and mohair raw materials. In addition to wool yarns, our main products are animal hair-based industrial worsted spun yarns, such as specially shaped yarns and ultra-fine mohair yarns, and we also participate in overseas exhibitions with our carefully developed lineup.

Recently we have also been focusing on planning and development of vegetable-based natural fibers such as cotton and linen.
Knitwear and products
For our own brand products such as M.&KYOKO, FUGA FUGA, and 991 as well as OEM and ODM, we conduct all R&D, planning, and manufacturing in Japan.

About 70 automatic flat knitting machines are in operation at the knit factory attached to our head office.

We make improvements to the machines to produce textiles with rich originality.

The factory also has three pleating machines, two multi-head embroidery machines, and other equipment in constant operation.

After the weaving process is completed, the woven fabric goes through sewing, linking, and other processes in the same factory to complete products.

At our second factory (Hirashio, Sagae City), about 70 seamless fully automatic flat knitting machines (7 to 18 gauge) are in operation.

Through the development of our own original technology, we have been able to manufacture knitwear with beautiful three-dimensional silhouettes that were previously thought to be impossible.

Our company has applied this technology to our own brand and OEM/ODM products, and we are promoting the planning and development of seamless knitwear.
