Automobile exhaust-purification devices Ultracompact products with excellent purification performance coupled with the advantage of reasonable pricing.
The prototype data of the automobile exhaust gas purification device on which we have been conducting research and development for several years, has showed astonishing results, with “purification performance raised by more than 35% at 1/3 of the size” when compared with existing products. Based on these results, we have newly developed automobile exhaust gas purification devices. The smaller size allows for a high degree of freedom in design. Furthermore, as a result of drastically reducing the amount of metal catalyst that makes up around 80% of the material cost, these devices have the advantage of lower cost. These promising products have a high possibility of being able to be used in not only motorcycles and light automobiles but also in hybrid cars as well.

Trial result: The size is one-third of that of the existing product, and the purification performance is improved by 35% or more.
Overview of an exhaust gas purification device prototype This is a prototype of an exhaust gas purification device (Fig. C bottom) formed into a honeycomb shape (Fig. D) by stacking corrugated wire mesh (Fig. D28), which is wire mesh that is made from knitted SUS wire rods (Fig. B) and corrugated, and plain-woven wire mesh. The purification performance test for this prototype gave an incredible result in which purification performance was improved by at least 35% despite the prototype being 1/3 the size of existing products (Fig. A). We have developed new products based on this result.
