We develop and manufacture frozen foodstuffs (frozen meals). We develop high added-value products through diversification and development of the agriculture industry (Saga beef hamburg steak) (Renji De Steak) (Omotenashi Sushi) in collaboration with agricultural producers and chefs. We are working on overseas expansion of our frozen meals using ingredients from Kyushu, including Saga Prefecture.

[Business description and features]
We were established as a general store in 1892. We later started wholesaling frozen foods to local supermarkets and became incorporated in 1973. Since 2014, we have been working on the utilization of local resources, beginning with agricultural, commercial and industrial-related businesses, and we have developed and commercialized products in the frozen foodstuffs manufacturing industry, such as “Frozen Onigiri” and “Renji De Steak” under our own brand “Kanesue Kitchen.” Also, with the goal of increasing trade that is rooted in the local area, we connect with local farmers and famous chefs and engage in business that increases the added value of products through the utilization of local resources and the sixth industrialization of agriculture.

With our moto of being a “business rooted in the region,” we aim to create high value-added products that make the most of Saga’s ingredients. We acquired certification for a regional resource utilization business plan in 2014. We have developed products using Saga beef and rice, and commercialized the "Renji DE Steak" product. This product has been featured in the local media and has received a lot of attention, such as being sampled by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries at an exhibition, which has contributed significantly to the promotion of special products nationwide and the revitalization of the region. We are working on overseas expansion of our frozen meals using ingredients from Kyushu, including Saga.

We received a certification for an agricultural-commercial-industry collaboration business plan in 2009, and to discover new demand by offering a wide variety of products utilizing ingredients from each region, we collaborate with multiple farmers for more efficient harvesting and supply and have created routes for cooking and processing food. Moreover, in 2016 we established a new manufacturing base (manufacturing plant) specializing in sixth industrialization with the aim of increasing the added value of our products. Based on a concept of “sixth industrialization for everything in Saga,” we are working to develop new products and sales channels with the aim of creating high value-added products throughout Saga Prefecture.
