The onslaught of COVID-19 is sweeping across the globe. In the post-corona era, where the virus is assumed to be present, one of the important things is to minimize the loss of economic activity by preventing secondary infection and making contaminated areas available for reuse as soon as possible. According to the "Guidance for Virus Decontamination of Environmental Surfaces" issued by the Risk Society of Japan, the dynamics of viruses on environmental surfaces in workplaces and residences are as follows: "Coronaviruses remain infectious on environmental surfaces at room temperature for approximately 1 to 9 days depending on their concentration, so high contact sites can serve as sources of viral infection. This is why high contact sites can be a source of viral infection. We at Sealive have demonstrated the effectiveness of a gas-phase decontamination system that can decontaminate an invisible contaminated environment or area in about half a day in the room temperature range (15°C or higher) and inactivate floating or adhering coronaviruses to reduce the risk of secondary infection at an early stage through the AMED project. Furthermore, we have realized exposure of PCs and memory devices to decontamination gas in an active state, and are working to promote the world's only gas-phase nucleic acid decontamination technology (Biovector®) that can be operated without the need for sanitization after decontamination. What is "Biovector®," the gas-phase decontaminating device capable of nucleolytic degradation?
 This is a complex decontamination gas generation technology capable of nucleic acid decomposition, generated by the redox reaction of MeOH (methanol) using copper as a catalyst, and reacting with the indoor air to be decontaminated to inactivate infectious viruses and other lesions. The main components of the gas are HCHO (formaldehyde) 80-250 ppm and MeOH 1000-6000 ppm contained in a mixture of H2, CO2, O2, N2 and H2O, and the decontamination gas components generated with a fixed amount of MeOH according to volume are forcibly decomposed after exposure into water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
 The decontamination gas generator is a unique system with a catalytic reactor that produces the gas at the decontamination site. The catalyst is controlled solely by the amount of MeOH and AIR supplied, and the reaction is maintained. During the reaction, the system is in a self-reactive state requiring no external thermal energy, and by controlling the mixing ratio of the gas components that act as the decontamination gas, the system is effective against the pathogens to be decontaminated.
 The decontamination gas has the ability to degrade 99.99% of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) (confirmed by an Agilent 2100 bioanalyser to be below the PCR amplification limit) and degrades and inactivates the nucleic acids in the pathogen nucleus.
 Its effectiveness against coronaviruses (SARS-CoV2) has demonstrated a 99.994% reduction and LRV 4.20 (4Log), with the virus being entrained by the gas mixture in the indoor air, causing disruption of the envelope bilayer composed of lipids, denaturation of the membrane proteins on the envelope membrane, capsid denaturation of the viral shell composed of proteins, and degradation of the genomic RNA in the nucleus, thereby deactivating the virus.
What is "Biovector®," the gas-phase decontaminating device capable of nucleolytic degradation?
Overview of Functions
1. A decontamination gas generator equipped with a circulating decontamination function that sucks in room air, mixes it with decontamination gas, and deactivates it.
2. The air is sucked with suspended pathogens, and the HEPA filter collects them while the decontamination gas inactivates them.
If the HEPA filter is not used, the system does not have a collection function, but can decontaminate three times faster.
3. Decontamination gas is injected in a parallel 360° direction from the top of the equipment, inducing convection and mixing with the room air to achieve the decontamination effect.
4. The injected decontamination gas inactivates airborne and attached pathogens in the room.
5. Special methanol (steriXMeOH95), which is the base of the decontamination gas, is supplied in a 1200mL cartridges cylinder.
The unit is used by opening the door on the back of the machine.
6. To start operation, press the Start/Stop button on the device to start automatic operation (automatic operation mode).
The tablet program must be running.
The status of the operation process can be checked with the tablet from outside the decontamination room.
Operation status can be monitored and controlled from another location by Iot through the tablet (AWS).
Operation status is recorded.
7. Arbitrary operation schedule can be created (created at the time of installation)
8. When decontamination is finished, the gas decomposer starts up and the next process begins..
