We pay utmost attention to the selection of plants we use for materials and work on development every day to better utilize the various extraction and refinement technology that we have acquired over more than half a century of experience. 
High quality is supported by highly accurate analytical technology and scientific evidence. We are working to deliver our products to people who want trustworthy functional food rather than suspicious healthy food. 
TOKIWA Phytochemical is a pioneer of functional food materials such as blueberry extract and ginkgo leaf extract that are widely used today.  In addition to research and development into unique products such as peanut skin extract and sword-leaf dogbane extract, we can quickly respond to any of our customers’ requirements. 

Manufacturing

Our production department strictly manages our production processes to ensure that no mistakes are made in the production procedure from the material supply to product shipment and ensure that our customers receive satisfactory products. 

We are constantly improving our technology and introducing new equipment to accommodate each of our customers’ requirements from the production of materials for functional food, cosmetics materials, and food additives and the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients to the production of research reagents that requires advanced preparative isolation skill.  We have created our environmental policy to pay sufficient attention to the natural environment, and we work toward becoming a company that supports the local community.

Moreover, we utilize the expertise that we have acquired through several years of experience to conduct outsourced manufacturing of original materials and OEM of finished products. In addition, at our pharmaceutical GMP factory, we can conduct outsourced manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients by utilizing our advanced management and production environment. 

We are fully equipped with various analyzers to accommodate the requests of our customers.  We also offer “outsourced metabolome analysis,” where all the data obtained from the analysis of a biological sample using a high-precision mass spectrometer is provided to the client. 

Quality assurance

Every member of our staff works hard to ensure high-quality products at every stage, including planning, development, production, and sales to provide high-quality, safe, and comforting products that help our customers to lead healthy lives.
In addition to our strict legal compliance, we are working to deliver safer and higher-quality products to our customers, by conducting traceability studies of raw materials, responding to the Positive List System for pesticides, and monitoring production processes.

Pharmaceutical GMP
For production of active pharmaceutical ingredients, we have ensured quality by establishing a GMP-compatible quality control and production management system. 
We have an in-house active pharmaceutical ingredients factory, which helps us to produce high-quality pharmaceuticals.

GMP certification for Health Food Materials
The functional food materials we produce are manufactured with "Health Food Materials GMP" certification, issued by the General Incorporated Association of the Japanese Institute for Health Food Standards (JIHFS).
JIHFS Health Food GMP strictly adheres to the Health Food GMP Guideline of Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. 

HACCP certificate
We have obtained certification under HACCP, which is a food safety management system. 
Applicable standard: HACCP Codex Alimentarius

Halal certified/Kosher certified
Our "BILBERON-25" and "BLACK CURRANT EXTRACT" are halal certified.  This means that they can be enjoyed by many people with dietary restrictions.
