[Company Strengths]
Our company develops and operates information systems for forest, timber, and tree-related industries, and provides related consultation. Forestry and timber distribution industries can be further improved if we can introduce more ICT in the field, and we are running various projects with various partners to achieve this. We have a project in the timber distribution field for achieving both sustainable forest management and distribution of the cascading use of logs and biomass from the forest. We built an ICT-based timber SCM system in the smart forestry field using a material information cloud system. We are trying to take accurate 3D measurements inside forests wearing a backpack in the backpack-style 3D measurement system field. Even a bend of a tree is recorded as digital data for future harvesting.

People in forest management did not look at figures in the past, but you should really create a plan if you think tress growing in the mountains are your stock. Users apply our photo-based log detection system to take photos of log cut ends, determine their grade and diameter through image processing, and create documentation such as delivery statements. Our detected result recording software creates electronic result data through smartphone voice recognition, allowing a single person to conduct manual measurement at timber yards. Our Internet timber bidding system instantly processes all transactions from bidding to settlement on the Internet. There is also a timber cloud system that coordinates interoperability among systems used in the forestry and timber industries, and reduces the cost of system introduction. Our forest 3D map creation system automatically creates forest resource information from digital scan data in the forest. We want to apply these various systems and projects to revolutionize Japan’s forestry sector, and create a framework for monetizing such operations.
