What system is ROLIS?
ROLIS uses a special optical principle to take high-speed developed images of outer and inner peripheral surfaces of cylindrical workpieces and process those images for the purpose of detecting and inspecting scratches, casting blowholes and processing defects.
What kind of work pieces are covered?
ROLIS is highly effective for inspection of aluminum die-cast products such as cylinder blocks. In particular, it is a very powerful examiner of functional parts that make up automobile internal combustion engines.
What kind of inspection process is suitable?
It is optimal for mass production and production lines where human inspectors are required to be present.

How does it work?
It synchronously controls the rotation of a workpiece and the position of the camera and thus can inspect elliptical shapes of camshaft workpieces. It can also inspect eccentric shapes such as crankshafts.
