[Company strength] Our company history began in 1920 by importing pharmaceuticals for organic rubber, sulfurization accelerators, and aging preventives from Bayer Germany and selling them to Japanese rubber companies. Our mainline business is imports/exports and sales. We handle various fine chemical products and industrial pharmaceuticals, including rubber, urethane, plastics, and other functional resins. We also handle manufacturing and processing machines and measuring and testing equipment for rubber and plastics. We have established a three-company collaboration system as the Heisen Yoko Group with two affiliated companies. Koyo Sangyo Co., Ltd. mainly handles rubber and resin products, and H&K Ltd. manufactures polyurethane adhesives and casting agents. Our group provides unique new materials and ideas to the chemical industry and to a wide range of other fields, including electric and mechanical machines, automobiles, and construction. We established Heisen Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in 2012. It is difficult to increase sales, which will also be true in the future. It is becoming difficult to expand our business in many markets in Japan. This is why we focus on market development in Asian countries with high economic growth and export to those markets. We have begun to see positive signs in China and Malaysia. We will celebrate the centennial of the start of our business and the 70th anniversary of our company’s establishment in 2020. We will set up a business planning unit in FY2018 to make great progress as a chemical trading firm with a greater presence. This unit will conduct trend analysis and future forecasting on the business environment, promote new product development, and investigate new business. The unit will also promote the business activities of our subsidiaries company established in Shanghai, China. The purpose of the unit’s activities is not to solve problems, but to tackle themes that we create. We will make use of J-GoodTech and expand our information network for future market cultivation.
