[Company strength]
We were founded in 1909 as a pioneering manufacturer of dried wheat gluten in Hokkaido, and we have always made products focusing on manufacturing this commodity and Hokkaido-made raw materials. We currently run Kitanofu Honpo, which is a specialty retailer of dried wheat gluten and tofu skin. Hokkaido is suitable for manufacturing dried wheat gluten and tofu skin, as it has high-quality water and a cool climate. Gluten is a raw material of both raw as well as grilled and dried wheat gluten. We produce it from high-quality wheat flour at our own plant, and we are one of the biggest producers in Japan. This processing is carefully performed by our veteran workers who have inherited traditions and techniques that have existed since our foundation. We carry out marketing activities to supply our products to households in Hokkaido and also throughout Japan. We also carry out constant R&D for new dried wheat gluten and Japanese sweets products.

Overseas sales account for about 7% of our entire yearly sales. We want to increase this by about 15% within two years. We do not have direct dealings with overseas customers, but we ship our products to Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Middle East, Australia, and so on through export partner businesses.
