[Company strength]
Our company makes use of unique Monozukuri craftsmanship technologies to develop mechanical equipment that applies pressure measurement. We are a pressure gauge manufacturer, and we manufacture even customized products to flexibly satisfy customer needs. We can develop electronic pressure gauges, flowmeters, and monitoring systems by combining our many years of experience and extensive know-how with the digital and ICT technologies we currently focus on. This is one of our advantages. We also have an advantage in our agile development and planning abilities. We set up collaborations with other companies with unique technologies and experience, and form consortiums with national and public medical institutions or university laboratories. We develop new technologies through these collaborations and consortiums with assistance from government and related organizations.


[Business description]
Our company was established in 1909. We have been manufacturing Bourdon tube pressure gauges and other products with attention to stable high quality for over 100 years. We established trust as a pressure gauge manufacturer by continuously supplying measurement standards and products for quality and safety management to various industrial fields in Japan and abroad. We now focus on new product development to keep up with recent changes in the environment, continue our corporate growth, and expand our business to new fields. We are developing electronic gauges and management systems by adding digital and ICT technologies to the mechanical measurement technologies we have cultivated. We are devoted to product development targeting applications in medical fields.

Manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company has a long track record of manufacturing pressure gauges. We have developed a great many related applied products by making use of our in-house measurement technology. We developed a pressure-type level gauge in our conventional field, which measures a liquid volume and level by conversion from the tank capacity and specific gravity of the liquid. We recently developed a digital respirometer by incorporating electronic and ICT technologies into mechanical expiratory pressure gauges. Our digital respirometer can record data while measuring respiratory pressure and flow rate at the same time. We also possess the technical capabilities to satisfy user needs in industrial and medical fields in collaboration with other companies. We can develop systems for remote monitoring in the IoT and M2M field, which are currently attracting attention, and for equipment maintenance.

Our company has a history of over 100 years. We have been persistently manufacturing stable-quality pressure gauges under a philosophy of sincerity and trust since our establishment. Our company has also been preserving the spirit of Monozukuri craftsmanship for original, creative products that satisfy the needs of the age since our founder’s era. We are a company that balances both protection of our long-established field and taking on challenges for innovation. We will be a global niche top company trusted and required by society, and capable of providing safety, security, and trust.


[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our company maintains a six-person system centered on president Iwao Kobata, which is organized into two groups. The two-person business promotion group is assigned to cultivating markets and overseas expansion for new businesses. The three-person sales group is assigned to cultivating markets and overseas expansion for conventional businesses. The business promotion group has experienced personnel, one from a non-Japanese company and one from a Japanese manufacturer of weak-electricity equipment. The business promotion group leads collaboration between new and existing businesses for a comprehensive in-house system.


[Market share/Ranking]
Our share of Bourdon tube pressure gauges in the Japanese market is very small if all industrial fields are considered. However, our pressure gauges have brand recognition in the ship and marine equipment field, which we specialize in.
