GAIA Institute of Environmental Technology, Inc.

Our company develops environment-related equipment based on our core thermal decomposition technology.

We are an R&D startup manufacturing and selling unique environment-related equipment. We promote the development and sales of SUMIX and DRYDASH. SUMIX is a reduction, sterilization, and carbonization processor capable of producing functional carbides. DRYDASH is a reducing, sterilizing, and deodorizing dryer featuring complete deodorizing during drying. We have confidence in our thermal decomposition technology. We have filed 24 patent applications based on this technology in Japan and abroad, and acquired four patents. We also possess eight trademark registrations. Our company has a track record of joint R&D with Tohoku University Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University Graduate School of Engineering, and Miyagi Prefectural Fisheries Experiment Station.

[Company strength]
Our company has advantages in product R&D capabilities and patent strategy. We have filed 24 patent applications for unique ideas based on our core thermal decomposition technology and acquired four patents. We also possess eight trademark registrations. We have advantages in R&D systems. We conduct research with research institutes of universities, local governments, and private companies, and development with companies having advantages in peripheral technologies. The technologies include water treatment, power generation, transportation, and manufacturing technologies. Our corporate philosophy is to advance technology that pleases the Earth. We will propose solutions to issues regarding human, animal, and plant health and about companies and local societies to make a contribution to the world.

[Business description]
Our company manufactures and sells customized SUMIX products to companies and agencies that discharge organic waste. SUMIX is a reduction, sterilization, and carbonization processor capable of producing functional carbides. We manufacture DRYDASH and sell it to companies experiencing odor problems when drying waste. DRYDASH is a reducing, sterilizing, and deodorizing dryer featuring complete deodorizing during drying. We study carbides produced by SUMIX and plant amorphous silica (PAW Silica). We develop new uses for these materials, manufacture products, and sell them under technical tie-ups with other companies. We investigate ZETAWAVE and sell it to companies spending a lot of money on measures against pipe scaling. ZETAWAVE is an anti-scaling electromagnetic processor.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our SUMIX reduction, sterilization, and carbonization processor is a patented product. It can continuously produce highly functional charcoal by shutting off the air, even from materials containing as much as 90% water without drying pretreatment. Our DRYDASH reducing, sterilizing, and deodorizing dryer is effective for materials that emit odors when dried. It realizes 100% deodorizing effects and simultaneous drying by direct combustion. Highly functional charcoal produced by SUMIX has more than double the oil adsorption, moisture absorption, and deodorizing power of charcoal products from other companies. PAW Silica has shown remarkable results on increasing the bone densities of testers. ZETAWAVE is an electromagnetic processor that solves piping scaling issues without using chemicals. This greatly helps companies reduce water treatment, maintenance, and management costs.

[Representative's message]
Our company is an R&D startup. We have confidence in applying our technology network from unique perspectives to produce original products that have never existed before. However, it is also a fact that we have difficulty in selling such products because of their novelty. We have completed applied research that has established the foundation of our products. We are now at the stage of actual marketing. We are looking for partner companies with advantages in commercialization and the capability to bring out the best from our technologies. We intend to expand our business outside Japan mainly in Southeast Asia. We want to contribute to environmental improvement in those countries.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our president directly handles new transactions to quickly and flexibly satisfy requests. We have a system that is also capable of doing business outside Japan by concluding counselling contracts with external specialists in management, legal affairs, accounting, and personal affairs.

[Market share/Ranking]
SUMIX is our original product because there are no carbonization machines specialized in producing high-functioning charcoal. PAW Silica is 100% derived from plants and its silicate content is over 40%. There are no other products like this.
