Did you know that 99% of the sesame consumed in Japan is produced overseas? Sesame is produced mainly in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Today's sesame industry is riddled with problems.

1. Most imported products are from unclear places of origin or producers, which are untraceable and insecure.
2. Market prices (increases in market prices due to growth in consumption) and exchange rates (weak yen) are changeable, resulting in unstable prices.
3. There are concerns over trace contamination from agricultural chemicals.

Our company has developed Nabeshima Komon Goma in collaboration with local farmers to deliver safe, reliable products and to continue the legacy of Saga's long-standing sesame production.

We will realize stable production and sales expansion and promote the Nabeshima Komon Goma brand throughout the world, to contribute to regional revitalization.
