[Industry] Metal product manufacturing [Representative's message] The mold business is one of the strengths that have supported Made-in-Japan Monozukuri craftsmanship. Molds are indispensable tools for producing products that are meant for mass consumption. Japanese molds feature excellent precision, durability, and productivity, and boast the world’s top class of technology. However, mold manufacturers are mostly small businesses. We hope that the presence of small businesses that have excellent technology will be given a lot of attention through J-GoodTech. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] The average age of workers in the mold industry is rising, and rejuvenation is necessary. However, a decreasing number of young people work in the mold industry as a result of falling birth rates. The Japanese mold industry is declining because of aging and a lack of successors, but the average age of our workers is 38. We intend to actively train young engineers, work together with customers to come up with good ideas, and contribute to the Japan’s Monozukuri craftsmanship.
