Semi-active RFID system "POWERTAG" 
System summary
As is the case with active tags, general BLE beacon tags periodically transmit a beacon ID. Then, the strength of the received electric wave signal is measured to detect the target position. However, detection accuracy may deteriorate depending on the radio wave environment. 
Our BLE tags transmit a set of a trigger ID and a tag ID only when they detect an LF magnetic field (trigger magnetic field). Then, they detect the target position based on the trigger ID that the reader receives. General BLE beacon tags may have a problem of battery life. Our BLE tags enter into the sleep mode in places where there is no trigger magnetic field. This mechanism enables long battery life. As a pioneer in manufacturing semi-active RFID tags, we develop and sell not only BLE tags, but also various RFID products. Especially, "Hiyari-Hunter," a system for detecting persons approaching the forklift, is a product indispensable to safety measures. Its sales volume is increasing.

[Company strength]
RFID/IC tags are well-known as passive tags (passenger cards and so on) with no built-in battery. However, our IC tags are semi-active tags with a built-in battery. This type of tag has a longer communications distance compared with a passive tag. Our unique trigger ID mechanism realizes ultra-low power consumption and high accuracy. Our IC tags are suitable for dynamics management. We can customize the IC to satisfy customer requests because we developed it ourselves using in-house technology.

Our company develops, manufactures, and sells semi-active RFID systems. We plan and propose RFID solutions and sell or rent race time automatic measuring equipment. We also produce race time automatic measurement on a subcontracting basis and plan and manage cycle events. We always focus on new technical development in the fields of GPS, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the Cloud, and the IoT.

Our company first encountered IC tags in 1993 and completed a semi-active IC tag (POWERTAG) by trial and error in 1999. POWERTAG is now used for races, access security, and security and safety management. We will never cease to produce ideas, research, and development to apply the product to various needs.
