Murata Boring Technology Research Co., Ltd.
Other presentation
[Company strength] Our business involves various kinds of thermal spraying, including HVOF (HVAF), plasma, wire, self-fluxing alloy, low pressure, and localized spraying. We handle ceramic, HVOF powder, carbide, metal, alloy, cermet, wire, self-fluxing alloy, and abradable materials for thermal spraying. Our business includes ultrasonic and high-pressure roll cleaning to solve clogging problems, machining (grinding and polishing of even very hard films), and engine boring. We can overhaul automotive hydraulic equipment and regenerate automotive underbody parts. [Business description] We conduct thermal spraying surface treatment for industrial machine parts. Our surface treatment improves abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance to greatly extend the service life of a part. We have a track record of surface treatment for parts related to fibers, paper milling, printing, and various other machines and equipment, including petrochemical equipment. We provide surface treatment for machine parts for manufacturing plastic, film, rubber, ceramic, stone, and clay products, as well as iron-making, canning, and electric wire and cable drawing. We also handle parts for metal product manufacturing equipment, general-purpose machines and instruments, and steam engine, turbine and hydraulic power generators. We have treated parts used for pumps, compressors, internal combustion engines, automobiles, marine vessels, aircraft, industrial pumps, and various other equipment. This equipment is used for food, paper and pulp manufacturing, film conversion, semiconductor manufacturing, power generation, and plastic processing. [Industry] Surface treatment [Representative's message] Our company possesses ceramic laser engraving and roll processing technology that only three companies have in Japan, including us. This involves applying ceramic thermal spraying, machining, and then laser engraving (fine dimple forming) for a gravure roll. The roll has durability several dozen times greater than a conventional plated mesh roll. Our products are used as ceramic anilox rolls for flexography, solid gravure printing rolls, laminated ceramic gravure rolls, coater ceramic gravure rolls, and high-precision rollers for LCD part manufacturing. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our corporate history began with automobile and motorcycle engine regeneration and various kinds of machining. We now have several dozen machines, including cylindrical, internal, and surface grinding machines. We can finish thermally sprayed materials under an integrated in-house system. We have a history of thermal spraying dating back to 1961 and have gained customer trust. Our customers now entrust difficult machining to us. [Awards and media coverage] [Awards] Shizuoka Industrial Foundation, Excellent Technical Development Company Award; Shizuoka Prefecture Industrial Promotion Achievement Award, for thermal spraying surface modification technology; the 12th Shizuoka Prefecture CM Grand Prix, Excellence Award, for the “Daddy's Job” commercial (Radio Category).
