[Company strength]
Our atomic force microscope is the only microscope in Japan that allows for 100 to 1,000 times faster image acquisition (maximum 20 frames per second). The user can make in situ observations of nanoscale reactions such as dissolution, decomposition, polymerization, self-organization, and enzymatic reactions. Our allergen testing service can be provided using various testing methods. Our cell bio-assay business provides a wide range of entrusted testing services for medicine, cosmetics, and functional foods, and also offers solutions to user problems.

[Business description]
We provide bio-molecular measurement technology such as nano-biology measurement instrument development, manufacturing, and sales. These products include scanning probe microscopes (SPMs) such as atomic force microscopes (AFM) that record unique moving images, and we take on entrusted nano-biology measurement using SPMs. We operate an advanced measurement analysis center for food testing and environmental evaluation such as allergen testing services, and use cell bio assays to evaluate cosmetics, medicines, and health foods. We also conduct independent or joint R&D in the nano-biology field.

[Representative's message]
Our company was established as the first startup company of the former Agency of Industrial Science and Technology, Ministry of International Trade and Industry based on their research findings. (It is now the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, abbreviated AIST.) We aim to establish a role model for high-tech startups through our two-pillar business model where unique products (development and sales) and unique services go hand in hand. We also hope to help enhance the reputation of our local community in whatever small way we can. We hope that our city will be referred to as New Industry Tsukuba Scientific City, TX Valley, or TX Innovation Line, instead of its current name, Tsukuba Scientific City.

Our food and environment testing services include testing, analysis, and nano-measurement services on genetically modified foods, allergens, pesticide residues, and residual veterinary drugs. Our testing also covers cultivar identification, noroviruses, mycotoxins, components, irradiated foods, radioactive substances, contamination, taste, and nano-measurement of foods, as well as asbestos analysis (environmental testing). We will continue to offer such services to satisfy the needs of the times.
