[Company strength]
Cerazol (PBI: polybenzimidazole) is a next-generation plastic that shows the same strength as aluminum, and does not melt in the flame of a lighter. It is a heat-resistant, advanced super engineering plastic that was first developed and productized jointly by NASA, the AFML, and Celanese Corporation (Hoechst Group). This material requires quite advanced processing techniques, so very few manufacturers can deal with it. We possess the required skills, so we receive orders from many customers throughout Japan.

[Business description]
Our main business is plastic product manufacturing and sales. Our founder Masashi Minamidate got a plastic molding job at a local workshop in Ota Ward, Tokyo in 1956. He started his own company in 1969, and opened a factory in Kawasaki City. Our company now offers NASA-developed advanced plastics and cerazol (PBI) products as a super plastic molding service throughout Japan.

[Representative's message]
Simple plastic molding jobs are increasingly being offshored, but I think that local factories like us should take on the high-value-added jobs that overseas factories would rather avoid. We want to contribute to Japan’s Monozukuri craftsmanship by making use of our techniques and pride as veteran craftsmen in a local factory.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our company has one unit of each of the following injection molding machines: Nissei Plastic Industrial, 20-ton and 40-ton; Japan Steel Works, 100-ton; Hishiya Seiko, 100-ton and 180-ton; Toyo Kikai, 50-ton; and another company, 50-ton. We modified our injection molding machines to mold at higher temperatures than ordinary methods.

[Awards and media coverage]
We developed easy-to-use golf tees for elderly people, which were introduced by Television Kanagawa and in the Kanagawa Shimbun.

[Intellectual property]
We developed easy-to-use golf tees for elderly people, and patented this product.
