[Company strength]
[Sales Pitch]
Solomon Group was established in 1973 and public listed in 1996, with 6 offices in Taiwan, 6 in China, as well as a newly set up office in Hanoi. Even though it is often recognized as a distributor of semiconductor components and diesel generators, Solomon has in fact placed significant amount of human and financial resources into developing its industrial automation businesses in recent years.
Solomon first entered into the automation business in 2009 when it became the master distributor of Rockwell Automation in Taiwan, the largest PLC and industrial drive maker in North America. To broaden the scope of its industrial automation business, Solomon has been actively developing products in areas of IoT (Internet of things), robotics, and machine vision in the past three years. Despite being relatively new to these markets, Solomon's automation products have been well received by customers.
Robotics:
Asides from the aforementioned core technologies developed in-house, Solomon has obtained distributorships
of many unique robot and vision products. For 6-axis robot, Solomon is the preferred partner in Taiwan for
Universal Robot (UR) of Denmark, the world's foremost collaborative robot maker. Unlike other robots, a
collaborative robot with its safety features can co-work with human operators in production line without barriers.
The robot is also lightweight, making it easier for robot to be re-deployed in other parts of factory as the situation
requires. Just as important the robot is easy for operators to learn and use with its intuitive user interface. UR
has been used by automotive makers, electronics assembly companies, PCB makers, and equipment makers.
In addition to UR, Solomon also distributes Toshiba's SCARA and 6-axis robots.
IoT is a fast growing and promising field making significant headlines in newspapers worldwide everyday.
Solomon's solution offers an affordable, fast, secure, and reliable alternative for customers to implement IoT on
their production equipment. This is achieved through a hardware device that captures data from the machines
in real-time, which then passes data onto a server, where Solomon's software resides, tracks, and processes
machine data according to customers' requirement. The solution is also secure in that it does not require any
installation of our software in the customer's machines, therefore there is no violation of the maintenance
contract between customer and equipment vendor.
