Meca Kougyou Co., Ltd.
We manufacture and sell ultra-thin copper wires used as electrical wires.
We manufacture and sell ultra-thin copper wires used as electrical wires. Our copper wires are ultra-thin having a strand diameter of 0.02 to 0.08 mm. The ultra-thin wires are plated with tin, processed to form stranded wires, and then delivered to electrical wire manufacturers. The ultra-thin copper wires are finally used in cable conductors for medical devices, FA robots, and digital devices. Our trading department selects various metal materials through our network in the industry, and coordinates various types of machining (wire drawing, plating, twisting, braiding, insulating coating, assembling, etc.) with customers’ needs. We thus help electrical wire manufacturers to develop technologies and university laboratories to solve problems.
Other presentation
[Company strength] The features of our ultra-thin copper wires are light weight, bending resistance, and flexibility. We have manufactured ultra-thin tin-plated wires for more than 30 years, and have improved our wire drawing, thin wire plating, and twisting techniques. We are keen to sell signal wires, power supply wires, and shield wires for medical device (ultrasonic diagnosis devices, endoscopes, and AEDs) cables and industrial robot cables which require flexibility and bending resistance. [Industry] Electrical wire manufacturing [Representative's message] Our ultra-thin wires are not well known in the market because they are upstream components for medical devices, industrial robots, video cameras, monitoring cameras, and similar products. However, as the use of robots has widened, the robot market has expanded, and so there is increasing need for robot cables that are resistant to bending and noise. Ultra-thin wires have been attracting attention as conductors that can meet such need. Japan is leading the world with materials (conductors) used for signal wires, power supply wires, and shield wires of cables, as well as machining techniques (wire drawing, plating, twisting, braiding, etc.). We wish to make full use of these features to sell our ultra-thin wires to electrical wire manufacturers and set manufacturers in Japan and overseas. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Japanese manufacturers are world leaders in cables for medical devices and industrial robots. We believe this is attributable to the presence of conductor manufacturers manufacturing highly-functional materials of a quality not found in other countries, and machining manufacturers having excellent machining techniques. We will strive to improve our techniques by working more closely with cable manufacturers, material manufacturers, and machining manufacturers. We also intend to introduce ultra-thin conductors having even greater functionality and quality to developers and engineers of many cable manufacturers. [Intellectual property] Pending application for bending-resistant shield wire material (Nov. 2016)
