We are developing our business centering on organic thin film solar cells.

We manufacture and sell electronic parts, devices, and electronic circuits. We are developing our business mainly in three fields: organic solar cells, organic piezoelectric devices, and organic electronics devices. Our translucent organic thin film solar cell products have been adopted by JR East, and used at JR Fukushima Station. We have a track record of joint R&D with major companies, universities, and government research institutes. We have positioned organic thin film solar cells as our most important project, and are accelerating the establishment of a business operation system, including financing.

[Company strength]
We make use of the latest information on the market and technology for product development earlier than everyone else.
Market information: We have already established a system to collect information for each respective module size through joint development with representative companies in the railroad, automobile, and mass communications fields. This includes information for large-size products such as building construction, medium-size products such as solar cars, and small-size products such as wearable and portable terminals.
Technical information: We have study meetings every month on state-of-the-art technologies with a professor emeritus for a university and other participants. The materials are published on our website.

[Business description]
We conduct R&D in three business fields: organic solar cells, organic piezoelectric devices, and organic electronics devices. We have arranged conditions towards commercialization in the field of organic solar cells via a demonstration of organic thin film solar cells. We are advancing development in the field of organic piezoelectric devices of a nano-molecule piezoelectric material based on macromolecule single crystal film. We aim to commercialize a carbon nanotube flexible heater as an organic electronics device. In this profile we mainly introduce the organic solar cell field as a representative area among these three fields. [Strength of products/technologies]
(1) We have achieved high durability by introducing a reverse-type structure in the layer structure of power generating cells. Our original material (patented) is utilized for the hole blocking layer and the electron transport layer necessary for the reverse-type structure.
(2) Module sizes in our cell-puzzle lamination method can be selected from a fixed mass-production size as well as the size the customer requires. This enables us to reduce the price and delivery time.

We have begun to quickly advance our business strategy for the next five years based on the R&D outcomes we have accumulated to date. These have been carried out through subsidized programs with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of the Environment, NEDO, JST, and so on. We have already begun to deal with one part of this. We have several advanced projects in fields including piezoelectricity, fibrous devices, and carbon nano tubes. These projects are beginning to grow to the stage in which the outcomes of R&D to date can be linked to revenue. Now is an important time for us to step into a new stage and new phase. We hope to have the whole company face these issues and make our best effort to develop our business, including market cultivation using business matching websites.

In our business strategy we have positioned organic thin film solar cells as the future target with the highest importance and the top priority. We are confident that the global trend of this category in the next five years will develop much more than the level assumed by most related companies in Japan. This is why we are now accelerating the establishment of our business operation system, including the introduction of outside financing.

It is difficult to refer to our share at the present stage because the market is currently being created. There are only a few companies around the world, including our company, that have completed the R&D and demonstration stages, and arrived at the stage of commercialization.
