Integrated handling from design/manufacturing of metallic molds to engineering plastic products

We manufacture engineering plastic products, including those for automobiles, and perform integrated in-house processing from design/development to manufacturing of metallic molds used for such products. We also handle orders for metallic molds only. We introduced 3D printers and 3D scanners in 2013 and use them to manufacture metallic molds for customers’ new product development, prevention of early-stage troubles in mass moldings and substantially reduce the development period. We have a factory in Shenzhen, China. We also offer low-cost production of molding articles and high-quality, low-cost metallic molds and molding articles. We developed the pneumatically-driven “Hand finger rehabilitation support equipment” jointly with Akita Technical College.

[Company strength]
High-quality metallic molds require various analyses for trial manufacturing, such as resin flow analysis, wall thickness adjustment and draft angle. In 2013 we introduced 3D printers with the modeling size of X294 x Y192 x Z148.6 mm and 3D scanners. As well as handling orders for metallic molds only, we use them for manufacturing metallic molds for customers’ new product development, prevention of early-stage troubles in mass moldings and substantial reduction of the development period. We bring win-win relations to both the customer and our company. We own the following machines: 19 molding machines, 4 vertical molding machines (for insertion type products), 3 MCs, 7 discharge, wire, thin hole and flat grinding machines, 8 2D-CAD and 3D-CAD machines, and many other accessory equipment. We have established a system for handling any requests from customers.

[Business description]
Since the company was founded in 1988, we have been manufacturing engineering plastic products (including insertion molding products containing metals) which are key parts for various industrial products including automobiles for the last 27 years. The manufacturing of these products is based on highly-efficient, high-quality metallic molds. We perform integrated in-house processing, from development/design to manufacturing of these metallic molds. We can also handle orders for metallic molds only. Our advanced technology enables us to perform integrated production of engineering plastic products.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our advantage is that we can conduct in-house integrated manufacturing from the design and development of metallic molds to molding products. Our 3D printers are very useful. Specifically, we can receive orders for metallic molds, which are handled only by our design engineers and 8 CAD units. We have a factory of “Furuya Chuuso Corporation” in Shenzhen, China. As well as producing low-cost molding products in China, we have arranged a domestic-style system which meets the need for high-quality, low-cost production of metallic molds and molding articles. In Japan, we have four Level-1 Certified Technicians and four Level-2 Certified Technicians.

Since the company was founded, we have been contributing to customers and society under our corporate philosophy: “Quality is our priority.” The engineering plastics we process are improved day by day. Products are rapidly advancing in various ways, such as the switchover from metal, miniaturization, weight reduction, refinement and high-performance. We have the technology and fast action required to meet such trends. We have acquired ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, and established a system to assure high quality and environmental preservation. In the future, it will become necessary to handle more complex products faster. As well as meeting customer requirements, we aim to be a unique company which actively enters new fields and produces innovative technology.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We have sales staff with abundant technical expertise. We are constantly improving customer satisfaction by meeting their requirements quickly. As regards overseas business, we have assigned Japanese-speaking local staff in addition to Japanese staff in each division of our Shenzhen factory in China. We have established a system which ensures smooth collaboration with our Japan operations.
