[Company strength]
We manufacture products that can contribute to local industry, with the catchphrase “We materialize your ideas.” We have two main divisions: mechatronics and plant. Our strength lies in our integrated system, which allows us to handle processing from development and design to material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, delivery, installation, and maintenance. We have been actively involved in developing new technology and business through industry-university-government collaboration. This is done so that we can manufacture products that satisfy various fields of business. We have been focusing on overseas markets in recent years. We established a joint venture in Indonesia with a local corporation in our efforts to enhance our business through overseas expansion.

[Business description]
Since our foundation we have been the only company in Japan that designs and manufactures oil and natural gas production equipment, and we also design and produce machine tools. Our services cover many areas. These include design, parts processing, assembly, and inspection of peripheral equipment for machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, various industrial machines, and food production machines. We design, manufacture, install, and perform piping works for production equipment to process oil and natural gas extracted underground. We design and manufacture pressure vessels and heat exchangers for special high-pressure gas equipment and manufacture vacuum vessels. We also design, manufacture, and perform piping works for steam production equipment for geothermal power plants under the Electricity Business Act. We are committed to pursuing even more sophisticated Monozukuri manufacturing by making use of our machining technology and welding technology for ultra-high-pressure and vacuum vessels.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our mechatronics division designs and manufactures various devices and equipment that can satisfy customer needs. We have many years of experience with machine tool manufacturers. Machining work is our strength, and we can offer high-precision, high-quality products in this field. We are the only domestic Japanese supplier that can design and manufacture oil and natural gas production equipment. This is why almost all equipment of this kind that is used in Japan is our product. We are the only company in Akita Prefecture licensed under the Electricity Business Act for welding work for geothermal power plants. We also provide separators used to separate steam from water generated from geothermal wells, and we perform piping works. We take pride in our excellent welding technology, which is highly ranked in the prefecture. We have won many prefectural and national welding skill competitions over the course of many years. 

[Representative's message]
We started to seek to expand our business in overseas markets in 2010 with a focus on China, Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries. We picked Indonesia, which abounds with natural energy resources, because it is a country that can make the best use of our many years of experience. We conducted a year of research in 2013 and established the local subsidiary PT NIHON SP MFG INDONESIA in January 2014. Enhancing infrastructure and building power supply facilities are urgently needed in Indonesia, which will itself boost the demand for energy. We anticipate a corresponding growth in the need for oil and natural gas production equipment, which are our company’s strong points. We hope that we can provide the same Monozukuri craftsmanship overseas as we do in Japan by gathering information through our local subsidiary.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our high technology has contributed to securing energy resources at oil and gas collection plants in Japan, and we are deeply committed to further exploring new markets. We have a sales engineering department for inquiries by Japanese major manufacturers and PT NIHON SP MFG INDONESIA for our overseas business. Technical support is provided by staff members in the sales engineering department in Japan. We have an Indonesian advisor on contract who is fluent in Japanese for updates and close communications with our Indonesian subsidiary.
