[Company strength] We are a unique gauge manufacturer in Toyama Prefecture with an 80-year history since our foundation. Our OSK brand products are highly evaluated by our customers for their long-lasting high precision and high quality, and they are widely used. We have advantages in making high-precision products by making full use of grinding with ±1 μ accuracy. This is achieved with our gauge processing technology, manual lapping processing, and screw threading technology. We have prepared a large selection of equipment in order to respond to various needs. [Business description] We manufacture various gauges, jigs, tools, and super-precision jig parts. Our products are used for precision measurement. They are widely used for measuring products in many kinds of industries, including the automobile and optical instrument industries. Screw gauges are used for pass/fail judgments in inspections of dimensions and outer diameters of screws. Cap, ring, and taper gauges are used for precision measurements in inner and outer diameter processing. [Industry] Production machine and tool manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] Accuracy of precision parts: We can satisfy customer needs to the 1-micron level. We can process shapes from 0.8 to 300. We manufacture precision screw parts, precision collets, precise pins, precise bushes, and many other articles. Jigs: There are two types of jigs: processing jigs and checking jigs. We have advantages mainly with checking jigs. We make a master that is equivalent to the work. We then read the size difference by comparative measurement with the master using a dial gauge. The accuracy of the final assembly jig is 0.01 or above (shape and size are negotiable), and the master accuracy is ±0.001 (shape and size are negotiable). [Representative's message] We are convinced that our mission is to provide quick support and to deliver satisfaction to our customers. This is based on the precision processing technology know-how we have been accumulating as our asset for many years. Our corporate philosophy is to proceed from the source via microscopic precision. We want to do our best to satisfy the needs of the times. We look forward to your continuing support and patronage. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We assign staff in charge of new transactions in our sales department who work as a point of contact. Design staff and on-site manufacturing staff will handle technical consultations, and directly visit the customer if necessary. Mainly our sales staff actively participate in various kinds of exhibitions and networking, and link this to cultivating markets. [Market share/Ranking] We do not have market share information because of a lack of data. We are ranked 164th among 1,239 companies in our industry in Japan based on our sales amount, and second among 33 companies in Tochigi Prefecture (cited from Teikoku Databank).
