We are a comprehensive surface treatment manufacturer that was established in 1958. Our company employs various surface treatment technologies to meet various customer needs. These include low-temperature black chrome treatment for machined parts, Sn plating for electric components, and other original technologies that we developed independently. Our low-temperature black chrome plating realizes a thin (1 to 2 µm) and even film thickness. This plating is adopted for a wide range of applications because of its characteristics (including low light reflectivity, high adhesion, and high corrosion resistance), which contributes to our company’s performance. We also manufacture electronic components, circuits, and devices.

[Company strength]
We take pride in our accumulated technology and Monozukuri craftsmanship know-how for special materials (titanium, carbide, molybdenum Peltier elements, ceramics) and irregularly shaped items. The latter includes plating the inner surfaces of sac holes on fine components, with separate treatment for conductive sections and non-conductive sections. Our skills are certainly useful for all our customers whether for prototype manufacturing or mass production. We have been developing our technology for Sn plating technology of semiconductor parts for a long time. It has also led to increased orders from customers in the field of HV/EV terminal devices. Our company has formed partnerships with upstream companies, which is rare in this industry, so our plating plant has established a position as a primary contractor. We are currently building an information network with upstream companies so that delivery dates and other data can be confirmed in real time. This will allow us to manage all processes from upstream to downstream, and realize even shorter lead times. 

[Business description]
Our company is a comprehensive surface treatment manufacturer, and we deal with a wide range of plating. We possess original technology for Sn plating of electric components as well as for low-temperature black chrome treatment of machined parts. We can also deal with gold, silver, copper, nickel, electroless nickel, electroless gold, and zinc (colored, glossy, black, green) as well as anodized aluminum. We offer a wide range of plating types to accommodate customer requests as much as possible. This includes general-purpose plating (rack type, barrel type) for high-mix low-volume production, external plating for semiconductor lead frames, and hoop plating for connector plugs.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Low-temperature black chrome plating is our original technology. It offers such characteristics including (1) thin, even film thickness (1 to 2 µm), (2) low light reflectivity, (3) high adhesion, and (4) high corrosion resistance. Its high adhesion means that deformation of the material does not cause flaking or cracking on the film. These characteristics have led to this coating being adopted for use in vacuum radiation heat exchangers (the high adhesion withstands thermal contraction in a vacuum state). It is also used for parts items around cameras in car crash prevention and safety systems (the low reflectivity is used for anti-reflection). We have various treatment liquids with different properties for tin plating, such as organic acid, sulfuric acid, and neutral solution. We can meet a wide variety of plating needs in a speedy manner.

Our company has responded to needs in a wide range of fields as an established tin plating manufacturer. This is done by offering functional plating for electronic components (including semiconductor exteriors, connector plugs, and resistive elements) and rustproof and solderable mechanism components. We hope to further expand our tin plating business while promoting and developing new applications for our original low-temperature black chrome plating to make it useful to everyone. We have accepted trainees from overseas companies for many years for overseas expansion, and have conducted surface treatment business and technical cooperation through these relationships. We will expand such partnerships for the growth or our company. 

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
The Kawasaki sales office was opened within our headquarters to respond to inquiries from companies west of the Kanto region. All inquiries are responded to by sales representatives, and urgent requests for estimates are met within 2 business days. Testing, research, and prototype making in joint development projects with other manufacturers’ technology departments are conducted at our facilities, working together with the customer’s engineers. Our customers are very pleased with this arrangement. We started to participate in business conventions west of the Kanto region, in addition to the Tohoku region, where our production facilities are located. This is being done to promote our low-temperature black chrome plating and other original technologies.
