[Company strength]
We possess know-how that we have accumulated for many years, as well as second-to-none ultra-precision machining based on this know-how. This is technology for polishing, cutting, machining, and welding.
We deal with various materials from a single piece. These materials include optical glass, semiconductors, crystals, ceramics, metals, resins, substrates for solar power, target materials, carbon, and magnetic materials.
All of our products are custom-made. We ascertain the customer’s problems from the design and development stage based on the drawings, make a new proposal, and find the solution for the problem.
We have a track record of doing business with more than 300 companies a year. This includes company research laboratories, university laboratories, and public research institutes.
We have acquired no less than 20 of our own patents in Japan and abroad.

[Business description]
We conduct high-precision polishing, precision machining, and welding of optical glass on a custom-made basis. Materials include quartz glass, semiconductor devices, ceramics, metal material, resin material, carbon material, and magnetic material. We also sell blades used for glass processing and clean burners used for welding. We supply ultrasonic cleaning process machines made of quartz glass, which are used for processes including semiconductor washing, liquid crystal manufacturing, and so on.

[Industry]
Precision machining parts

[Strength of products/technologies]
Polishing of ultra-thin quartz glass film with a thickness of 8 μm (total thickness of 10 to 20 μm after multilayer evaporation). Application: Quartz oscillators for high-frequency oscillation. These products are used as quartz glass parts for X-ray penetration for protein crystal structure analysis.
Optical polishing of high-precision quartz glass. Application: Sensors onboard the asteroid spacecraft Hayabusa 1 and 2, and cover glass for solar cells onboard weather observation satellites.
Large diameter polishing and machining with maximum processing dimensions of diameter 3000 (angular dimension: 2142). Application: Target material and large substrate glass.
High-precision cylindrical machining and polishing with a maximum diameter of diameter 500 and a maximum length of 3100 I. Application: Base material for quartz fibers, light guides, and target rods.

[Representative's message]
Our company was founded in October 1962 as a polishing maker of semiconductor devices. Our goal has always been to play a pioneering part in the electronics industry, which has been making remarkable advances in recent years. We polish and machine various kinds of optical glass and contemporary semiconductor devices. We weld quartz glass, and perform synthetic processing by combining state-of-the-art technologies. This is how we have established our trust and current foundation by means of high quality and precision processing technology. We hope to do our best to contribute to the development of our irreplaceable global society. We will achieve this by maintaining our technology innovation and rigid quality control, and by responding to the needs of our increasingly sophisticated and diversified era.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our Senior Managing Director Aoki will support new transactions through J-GoodTech as the point of contact. Our manufacturing department and sales department (about 10 staff members) will respond to technological inquiries, and directly visit the customer to find solutions for problems. We have established a system to offer support for overseas customers in English. We will also renew our website and brochure (in Japanese and English), and participate in websites (IPROS and Alibaba) in order to expand our sales.

[Market share/Ranking]
There is no other company in Japan or abroad that has actual results of polishing ultra-thin quartz glass film with a thickness of 8 μm.
