Ultra-high precision grinders are our main product. We produce highly value-added machines featuring ultra-high precision one by one by hand, for users in the mold industry and precision parts processing industry, unlike those of mass-production manufacturers. We faithfully keep the traditional skill of “scraping ground glass” in which the sliding surface and reference surface, which are the most important parts in the mechanical structure, are finished with ideal precision using a tool called a scraper. We guarantee the most important mechanical precision within ± 1 μm (one 1,000th of 1 mm) for ten years.

[Company strength]
Our strength is the careful manufacture of highly value-added machines required by users one by one by hand, unlike those of mass-production manufacturers. We use “scraping ground glass” to finish the sliding surface and reference surface which are the most important parts in the mechanical structure with the ideal precision, using a tool called a scraper. We faithfully maintain this traditional skill even now, and will continue manufacturing the best machines to satisfy our users.

Manufacturing and sales of precision machine tools: We manufacture mainly ultra-high precision grinders. Unlike the production methods of mass-production manufacturers, we custom-manufacture all machines by hand. Our ultra-high precision grinders are used by customers in the mold industry and precision parts processing industry, each of which is closely related with manufacturers of ultra-high precision and high-precision devices, in industries where high technology is advancing year by year. In addition, we do not develop machines one-sidedly, but always reflect users’ opinions and requirements.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We provide an original guarantee system for our products surpassing those of other companies. For example, a machine in the “ultra-high precision molding surface grinder NP series”, which are our best-selling machines, is guaranteed in terms of the most important mechanical precision within ± 1 m (one 1,000th of 1 mm) for ten years. This guarantee would not be possible without the machine design offering ease of use, serviceability and high precision, which are our principles in manufacturing.

The overseas production ratio has been increasing for mass-produced products in recent years, and the market has expanded. However, we continue to manufacture machines one by one by hand in Japan, without seeking a big market share, in order to meet customers’ requests for products without which they would be in trouble, and which customers strongly demand. Our motto is to make better products for many years to come. Few overseas product manufacturers still follow this principle, particularly in Southeast Asia, but we consider that the demand for highly value-added machines such as ours will surely increase.

We have set up an English website for overseas companies. We actively discuss facilities with overseas Japanese companies, and employ English-speaking staff to handle inquiries from overseas local companies.

Our unit-based simple market share is approximately several percent since the machines we manufacture are highly value-added machines made by hand. However, in terms of machine performance and quality, our machines lead the industry.
