Plastic injection molding and die manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Drain floats in diesel vehicle fuel tanks used to be made of expanded polystyrene, which often caused malfunctions because of its unstable bubble arrangement. Our company suggested developing a hollow float as a solution, and the resulting product has been adopted in these tanks. We also suggested double elastomer (rubber) moldings to replace metal automobile door lock parts. These moldings were later adopted, which eliminated the need for grease for the parts.

Our company has been in engineering plastics (mostly molding) and the clear, thick die design businesses as a technology company since our establishment in 1976. I believe that we should pursue something other people would rather avoid, based on always thinking within common sense, while knowing when to step out of it. We will continue along our path based on this belief. 

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our Shanghai plant mostly includes automated lines to reduce dependency on labor, and the workers are in charge of quality control. This is because we believe that products are degraded every time they pass through human hands. Technologies are transferred to the local staff from an employee from the head office so that operations are handled by the local staff as much as possible. New projects are managed by the head office, and this arrangement has pleased our customers, including those in Shanghai.

Our door latch parts for door locks have a 20% share of the domestic Japanese market, and a 2% share of the global market.

[Joint research and development]
Our company is a member of an industry association new product study group. This is held jointly with Sagamihara City, Machida City, and Hachioji City (with the cooperation of Tamagawa University). We also participate in pan-industry social events held by the Sagamihara Incubation Center.
