We developed the MIMM road and tunnel measurement vehicle: a tunnel inspection vehicle that does not require traffic control.
We look for hidden deterioration and damage with various methods, identify the cause, and make recommendations for improvement. This is done to prevent accidents in structures and various plant facilities. Our MIMM road and tunnel measurement vehicle takes measurements while running at around 80 km per hour. The vehicle is capable of efficient measurement in a short time without using traffic control even in long tunnels. This can lead to significant cost-cutting. We hope to expand the use of this vehicle nationwide to offer safety and security to society. We are also developing another system for inspecting structures safely and quickly with wireless sensors.
