[Company strength]
We are a small company, but we have business deals all over Japan. We are focused on each and every one of these deals, which enables us to respond quickly. Since we are a fabless company that does not have a manufacturing plant, we cooperate with local manufacturers to cut the cost of transportation, and establish good after-sales service. Our company can work on deals in foreign countries. Especially in Myanmar, we partnered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Ministry of Energy to promote electricity penetration in rural villages by utilizing biofuels from Jatropha seeds. This project is feasible in other ASEAN counties, and we have received inquiries about specific deals.

[Business description]
Our company’s main business is the manufacture and sale of pyrolyzers that utilize superheated vapor. Pyrolyzers are used for a wide range of applications, including desiccation, carbonization, and oilification. The effective use of its waste materials is also a part of our operations. For example, we manufacture value-added activated charcoal by further activating the carbides. Another example is the manufacture and effective use of biomass liquid fuel through gas and gasification during pyrolysis of plant seeds and other materials. We also manufacture active charcoal, and liquid and gas biofuel created from Jatropha seeds (grown mainly in ASEAN countries), for which we are currently promoting commercialization.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Pyrolyzers have long been too expensive. We created a low-cost device that can generate superheated vapor, creating an oxygen-free atmosphere and high temperature without using firing equipment. This has become our company’s strength. We believe this is a one-of-a-kind technology that no other company offers. We accumulated a great deal of know-how through Shinrenkei certification and the NEDO subsidy project, and applied for patents to proceed with various productization projects. In our biomass liquid Jatropha seed and active charcoal manufacturing, we have achieved utilization rates of 30% in oilification, 20% in gasification, and 20% in carbonization. The combined total is 70%, whereas it is only 25% at most with conventional squeeze methods.

[Representative's message]
We study the desiccation and carbonization of food waste (mainly to make fertilizer) through pyrolyzers, the sterilization and volume reduction of hospital waste, and oil retrieval technologies. Since 2006 we have started many R&D projects and accumulated know-how in these fields.
In the future we hope to advance the following efforts to help improve the environment:
1) Making fertilizer from food waste
2) Reducing the volume of hospital waste
3) Manufacturing biomass fuel from Jatropha seeds, and manufacturing active charcoal from the residual carbides (with small pores of 0.5?1.0 nm)
In addition, we hope to expand our business overseas through win-win partnerships with other companies that have sales channels and applied technologies.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We have set up an overseas office in Myanmar with local staff. This functions as a base for expanding our overseas business, specifically to Indonesia, Thailand, and other countries in Southeast Asia. However, we have a shortage of management resources (operational framework, and funds). Therefore we are considering possible collaboration with other companies that are interested in our business, and also in environmental and humanitarian aid.
