DAIKEN INDUSTRIAL corporation
Our strength is grinding technology that can keep warping due to machining on thin materials to less than 0.01 mm.
We are a manufacturer of various kinds of production equipment. Our company can deal with machining unusual or irregular shapes. We have know-how for difficult-to-machine materials, such as titanium, tantalum, Inconel, and tungsten, and machining techniques that can keep warping to within 0.01 mm when machining material less than 1 mm thick.

[Company strength] Our company is good at machining on unusual or irregular shapes. We have machining know-how for difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium, tantalum, Inconel, and tungsten. Furthermore, we can find optimal machining conditions for stainless steel, and we implement highly efficient machining under such conditions. Our technology can limit warping to within 0.01 mm for materials less than 1 mm thick, so we can perform machining according to the customer’s request. We can also offer proposals and manufacturing regarding the production of automation devices and inspection instruments. Please do not hesitate to ask. [Business description] We possess machining facilities, and we manufacture a wide range of production equipment through an integrated production system that covers most processes. Our services include designs and proposals, machining, grinding, electrical machining, polishing, and assembly. We are dedicated to satisfying the customer’s requests and inquiries for machining, process changes, producing multiple kinds of products, inspections, or trial manufacturing. Our company has been contributing to industry through jigs, tools, and press molds as well as molds produced as by-products of these processes since its establishment over 40 years ago. We also supply processing machinery, machining devices, assembly equipment, energy saving machinery, and inspection instruments. [Industry] General machinery manufacturing/processing [Strength of products/technologies] Our products are conceived by our employees and made by our employees. Therefore, we believe a product’s strength or weakness depends on people, because products are greatly affected by the employee’s intentions. We encourage everyone to keep their eyes open, and to nurture their sense of accuracy and improvement. For example, if the factory is cleaner inside, the products will look better, it will enhance accuracy, and, above all, it will significantly improve safety. People should also embrace the standards and basics, and treat any product as a normal job without hesitation, so that they can have no trouble learning. Unusually elevated feelings do not result in good products. We manage our company while training employees based on this philosophy. [Representative's message] Since last year we have been actively participating mainly in mechanical component exhibitions in an environment of increased opportunities for Monozukuri craftsmanship. To emphasize our strength in machining and the variety of materials we process, as well as their good accuracy and quality, we visited 9 sites in 2012 and 11 sites in 2013, including Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. We will expand this activity even further even though we have already acquired new customers. We are considering expansion to neighboring countries in the future. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] All our employees are on the same page in thinking that we will deal with each product sincerely, and believing that quality comes first and that no defects should ever leave the factory. We recently conducted extensive research into Monozukuri craftsmanship for high-precision machining, such as grinding on large, thin materials without warping, machining on high-hardness materials, machining on difficult-to-cut materials, and machining on irregular shapes. We did this to make them our strengths and a normal part of our manufacturing processes, and to be able to easily extend these technologies within the organization. We also have a point of contact for overseas expansion and sales channel expansion to provide finely tuned responses to potential customers. [Awards and media coverage] Won a category award in the 2nd Ota-ward section of the All-Japan Koma Taisen Manufacturing Industry Association in January 2014. Received a testimonial from Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, Ltd. in February 2014. [Authorization/Certification] Obtained certification for machining nuclear plant components. ISO 14001 certification. [Joint research and development] Joint development with the Industrial Technology Institute of Miyagi Prefecture under a restoration promotion program of the Incorporated Administrative Agency Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). “Development of Anti-Warping Machining Method” is underway (January 4, 2013 - March 31, 2015).
