U-Tec Co., Ltd.

Manufacture with short lead time of rectangular pressure vessels and vacuum chambers for medical and industrial applications

We have advanced welding technology, qualified personnel, and high precision machining, which enables us to provide high quality rectangular pressure vessels and vacuum chambers within short delivery timeframes. In 2014, our company introduced three large NC machining centers and four large, 20 ton cranes, which enable us to deal with processing of objects up to 40 tons and to further strengthen our capabilities to meet customer demand.

[Company strength]
We perform high density welding assembly of thick plates of iron or stainless steel, along with three-dimensional cutting using large NC machine tools. We excel in production of large precision rectangular pressure vessels, vacuum chambers, and electromagnetic components for particle accelerators. We are able to respond to requests for fabrication and performance evaluation of medium to large capacity rectangular vessels in small lots. Our new factory, scheduled to be completed in 2014, will be able to accommodate 40-foot containers and provide integrated welding assembly, machining, and finishing of large precision products up to a weight of 40 tons.

[Business description]
We are a licensed manufacturer of Class 1 pressure vessels. We are engaged in contract manufacturing of compact rectangular pressure vessels for medical and industrial use, as well as rectangular vacuum vessels for liquid crystal displays (used in televisions, tablet devices, smart phones, and the like) and solar batteries. In addition, we are entrusted with the precision machining and assembly of electromagnetic units used in the ultra high-speed accelerators of national research institutions.

Manufacture of pressure vessels, vacuum chambers and accelerator components

[Strength of products/technologies]
There are only a limited number of manufacturers, both domestically and internationally, who are capable of manufacturing rectangular pressure vessels with expertise required to assure the required strength and hermetic integrity. We can perform welded assembly with our specially qualified personnel and our advanced welding technologies, along with ordinary boiler welders and international (IIW-IWS) welding technicians. We also offer high precision processing by large NC machine tools, including floor-mounted horizontal boring milling machines and large 5-face machining centers. These assets enable us to supply high quality rectangular pressure vessels and vacuum chambers within a short delivery time.

[Representative's message]
We have received an increasing number of orders for vessels and chambers for medical and industrial sterilization equipment and vacuum deposition devices, which will be delivered to major domestic and international manufacturers. We have also received requests for bigger sizes and shorter delivery times. In response, we are currently building a new factory of 2574 sqm, which is scheduled to be completed in October 2014. This factory will house three large-scale NC machine tools (floor mounted horizontal boring milling machines, table type horizontal boring milling machines, and large 5-face machining centers), and four large cranes, each with a 20-ton capacity. This new facility will strengthen our abilities to respond to customer needs and improve their satisfaction.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We are taking steps to strengthen QCD (quality, cost, delivery) performance to maximize customer satisfaction. In addition, we have established a management system in compliance with ISO 9000 quality management standards, prior to doing business with major corporations such as Hitachi High-Technology. Our sales organization is actively working on proposal type marketing under one of the executive directors. Also, our president visits clients periodically to build and maintain partnerships, as well as to solve problems and understand customer needs.
