Reactive anticorrosion coating with greatly improved anticorrosion effect and durability

We are mainly engaged in manufacturing and sales of a reactive anticorrosion coating exhibiting greatly improved corrosion resistance by forming a fine and strong corrosion film layer on the surface of steel products, precision machining of a broad range of materials from general metals and alloy materials to hard materials such as alloy tool steel and cemented carbides in the order of 1 m, and manufacturing and sales of precision molds for cemented carbides. The reactive anticorrosion coating, to which an additive is applied, causes the formation of a stable, highly protective oxide film. The anticorrosion properties of the coating have been confirmed to last for over 10 years by the coast. Our coating guarantees low construction cost. The reactive anticorrosion coating is used for structures for electric utility companies, chemical plants, commercial facilities, energy companies, building construction companies, public utility enterprises, etc. The precision molds for cemented carbides are used in the ceramics and electronic parts industries.

[Company strength]
Our reactive anticorrosion coating is the result of studying the rust structure and physicochemical properties of steel materials. We have researched the influence of ion species on rust structures by the emission of radiation such as SPring-8 while adding various ion species to the surface of the steel material, and have developed a surface treatment agent for controlling the rust structure for practical steel materials and imparting anticorrosion properties to the steel material. The mechanism of applying anticorrosion by controlling the rust structure is referred to as “Homeopathy for Rust” (homeotherapy by rust), and this research and development power is our strength. (The explanation mainly relates to the environmental materials business; this company strength gives us a powerful position in the precision materials industry.)

Environment material business: manufacturing and sales of a unique reactive anticorrosion coating exhibiting greatly improved corrosion resistance by forming a fine and strong corrosion film layer on the surface of steel products. 
Precision materials business: precision machining of a broad range of materials from general metals and alloy materials to hard materials such as alloy tool steel and cemented carbides in the order of 1 m, and manufacturing and sales of precision molds for cemented carbides using our technology to customers such as electronic parts manufacturers

Research, development, and manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our reactive anticorrosion coating, when applied to a steel material, causes a reaction of iron with water and oxygen in the air to form an oxide film (patina) of nanoparticles and exhibits stable, highly protective action. The anticorrosion properties of the patina have been proven to last for over 10 years in harsh environments such as by the coast (the anticorrosion properties of normal coatings are effective for 7 to 8 years). Our product guarantees a low construction cost in addition to excellent anticorrosion effect and durability. The cost is lower because the coating can be applied on the material by simple manual work whereas normal coatings require blasting (chaplet treatment) using large equipment for surface preparation. (This relates mainly to the environmental materials business.)

[Representative's message]
We have been involved in the research of rust for over a quarter century. Our innovative reactive coating based on the controlled production of iron rust but preventing further rusting has evolved into a technology for the long-term protection of social infrastructures subjected to serious wear and tear. We will continue to embrace further challenges, and are grateful to many people both inside and outside the company for the many prestigious awards we have won. We also intend to develop our technology for precision molds for cemented carbides to contribute to society.

Sales of the reactive coating are expanding, including through collaboration with major companies. The directors and management section deal with customers for precision molds for cemented carbides. We cannot disclose transaction details due to non-disclosure agreements.
