Development of water-saving eco-toilet by applying fluid control

Our main business is fluid control, particularly the design and manufacture of hydraulic products. The demand in this main business is several dozen times greater in Europe and America than in Japan, where the hydraulic industry is declining and companies are focusing on new development. Our company acquired Patent No. 4216448 and is committed to an ecological toilet system (tentatively called "eco-toilet") that we developed by utilizing the fluid control technology of our main business. We developed the eco-toilet system by applying the technologies we have accumulated over many years and our staff who are experts at CAD and hydraulic designing. Portable and ordinary toilets require more water for greater deodorizing and cleaning effects but water resources are limited. We changed the structure of the toilet and applied hydraulic technology to commercialize the eco-toilet.

Japan has no regulations (laws) on toilet flushing volume, but the volume can be said to be about 13 to 6 liters (6-liter flushing often results in clogging). Our company developed a toilet with a flush volume not over 2 liters but free of clogging.
The detergency is more effective than current flushing from a tank.
Water supply is not just tap water.
A water supply needs water, but with a mesh over 1000 (0.149µ).

[Company strength]
The market scale of the hydraulic industry in Japan is becoming extremely small, and so the number of experienced engineers having excellent design skills is decreasing every year. Nevertheless, we have over 40 years of experience and staff who are experts at CAD and hydraulic designing, and who used their skills to develop the eco-toilet system. Portable and ordinary toilets, notorious for foul odors, filth, and lack of hygiene, require more water to overcome their problems but the available amount of water is limited. While recognizing the technical limits, we changed the structure of the toilet and used hydraulic technology to commercialize the eco-toilet.
In six years of experiments, clogging with paper or excrement never occurred.

Our main business is fluid control, particularly the design and manufacture of hydraulic products. The demand in this main business is several dozen times greater in Europe and America than in Japan, where the hydraulic industry is declining and companies are focusing on new development to survive. Our company acquired Patent No. 4216448, developed an ecological toilet system (tentatively called "eco-toilet") by utilizing the technology in our main business, and is now committed to the eco-toilet system.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Globally, an average toilet flushing uses six liters or less of water (but 13 liters on average in Japan), but even six liters is not enough to flush paper and excrement reliably. The eco-toilet delivers equivalent performance to conventional toilets and yet uses less than two liters of water. We offer the following two types:
(1) Manual toilet using pond water, intended for use mainly in case of disaster, etc.
(2) Fully-automatic toilet by button operation if tap water and electric power are available
If the water or power supply is stopped, manual flushing is still possible by attaching unit (1). These toilets are robust, safe, and secure, and the manual type is low cost. In addition, we have many tankless toilets that use fluid control technologies.

Through transactions with overseas companies, we recognized the greater importance given to safety and security in Europe and America than in Japan. We will continue to develop and cultivate our technical strengths to meet the needs in Europe and America. In particular, Japanese hydraulic technologies are still imitations of European and American technologies and the technical differences are widening. Accordingly, we must make greater efforts. We should develop sales channels to consolidate the business foundation for growth. We will actively participate in various trade fairs.

Since we receive many inquiries from overseas, we will assign more English-speaking staff and establish a system to participate in more trade fairs.
