Kasuga Factory Co.,. Ltd.
We have exceptional technical strength in ultra-precision machining of difficult-to-machine materials.
Our main business is metalworking for fabricating highly accurate and high-quality ultra-precise metal products. We began our business with the development of clothing-fabric cutting equipment, and have expanded into various fields such as energy/infrastructure industries, highly advanced medical equipment, and various types of analytical instruments. We have a particular advantage in machining difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel and Invar, as well as precision machining of SUS, aluminum and copper. Our strength is high product reliability assured by thorough traceability and revision management implemented serially from material selection to product delivery, accuracy check using a Carl Zeiss 3D measuring machine in a thermostatic chamber, and others.
[Company strength] 1. We introduced NC to all machines in our facility in 1972. We started unmanned 24-hour operation of an MC by utilizing CAD with the construction of a new factory in 2005, thus reducing costs and shortening delivery times. 2. We began handling the machining of difficult-to-machine materials such as nickel-based heat-resistant alloys and rare metals in 1975. 3. We acquired ISO 9001 certification in 2000 and ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2010. We also acquired factory certification from our major customer companies one after another. Another of our strengths is that we continuously introduce and develop the latest technologies and methods as described above. [Business description] Our main business is metalworking for fabricating highly accurate and high-quality ultra-precise metal products. We began our business with the development of clothing-fabric cutting equipment, and currently have transactions with customers in various fields such as energy/infrastructure industries, highly advanced medical equipment, FA, various types of analytical instruments, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and various general industrial equipment. We have a particular advantage in machining difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel and Invar based on more than 20 years of experience, as well as precision machining of SUS, aluminum and copper with a lathe, machining center, surface grinder, and wire discharge machine. We can respond to requests for batches ranging from several pieces to several thousand pieces and for processes from thin-wall machining to hardening/polishing. [Industry] Meta products fabrication [Strength of products/technologies] We have the following strengths in our technologies and products. 1. We established unmanned 24-hour machine operation by utilizing a Yasuda horizontal MC with multiple palettes and CAD, and thereby achieved high quality, short delivery time, and low price. 2. We have a wealth of experience accumulated over more than 20 years in machining difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium, Invar, Kovar, and nickel. 3. We acquired ISO 9001 certification and further factory certification from a number of major manufacturers of our customers. We ensure high product reliability by means of thorough traceability and revision management implemented serially from material selection to product delivery, accuracy check using a Carl Zeiss 3D measuring machine in a thermostatic chamber (20 ± 0.5°C), and others. [Representative's message] We have accumulated a wealth of experience and outstanding results from continuously working to exceed the present level of technology and performance in accordance with our quality policy, “to continuously provide high-quality products by maintaining and improving our quality management system based on ‘back to basics and proper behavior’”. Our exemplary technologies are machining of difficult-to-machine materials and thin-wall machining, thereby providing products made by stably machining work-hardening materials such as Inconel and Hastelloy with high-level specifications, high accuracy, and small standard deviations of specification values mainly for companies related to energy/infrastructure industries. We look forward to serving new customers (in particular, major and/or overseas companies) via J-GoodTech. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We have assigned two persons from the Sales Department and two persons from the Technical Department to develop our sales channels including the cultivation of current customers and the acquisition of new customers as well as to respond to technical inquiries. Although we currently do not have direct transactions with overseas companies, we have supplied many of our products to overseas plants and customers of our current customers, and thus we recognize the potential demand abroad. Therefore, we are ready to expand our business overseas following the advice from a support institution. [Market share/Ranking] We have exceptional technical strength in ultra-precision machining of difficult-to-machine materials. [Awards and media coverage] [Awards] [Media] [Authorization/Certification] ISO 9001:2008 certification [Joint research and development] We have conducted joint research and development; however, we are unable to disclose the details. [Factory (domestic)] Kyoto [Main Clients / Business History (domestic)] We deal with a number of major companies in various fields including the energy industry, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, infrastructure industry, analytical instruments, highly advanced medical equipment, hydraulic equipment, components for the Ministry of Defense, FA/labor-saving equipment, instruments for research institutes, and general industrial equipment. However, we are unable to disclose company names.
