Inoue Heater Co., Ltd.
We develop and manufacture heat exchangers for industrial heaters and coolers.
Our main products are plate-type heat exchangers, which are filled with liquefied gas and used as coolers or heaters. We have enhanced adhesion between heat exchanger fins and heat transfer tubes, and developed a heat exchanger with improved thermal conduction efficiency (15 to 20%). We recently developed a heat exchanger with aluminum fins featuring 2-fold improvement in existing thermal transfer efficiency. We also developed another heat exchanger with stainless steel fins, which features a 1.8-fold improvement in thermal transfer efficiency. This was done to satisfy needs from the fields of medical devices, medicine, and food production where a higher level of temperature control and cleanness are required. We are making preparations for mass production of these products.
Other presentation
[Company strength] Our company was the first to manufacture an aerofin heater, and we have been dedicated to such specialized manufacturing for over a century. This confidence is reflected in our current heat exchanger products for industrial heaters and coolers. We are a pioneer in this industry, and we always reflect upon where we started, as well as the trial and error we have gone through to satisfy customer needs. We pursue technological innovation without being complacent about our traditions or past accomplishments. We will continue to supply high-quality products to satisfy user needs, just as we always have since our establishment. [Business description] Our company is commemorating its 50th anniversary this year. We have been making use of temperature, humidity, and pressure control technology to design and manufacture mainly steam-driven heat exchangers for various machinery for 105 years. (This includes the period of our predecessor company.) Our main products are plate-type heat exchangers, which are filled with liquefied gas and used as coolers or heaters. We have developed technologies to transfer the heat of a heat exchange medium (liquid or liquefied gas) flowing inside a heat transfer tube. The heat is transferred to an outside heat exchange medium (liquid or liquefied gas) on the receiving side. [Industry] Machinery manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] In 2004 our company obtained a subsidy under the Law on Supporting Business Innovation of Small and Medium Enterprises. We made use of this to enhance the adhesion between heat exchanger fins and heat transfer tubes. This led to the development and production of a new heat exchanger with improved thermal transfer efficiency (15 to 20%), which resulted in a significant increase in our product lineup. Two consecutive joint development projects with Professor Naoki Shikazono at the University of Tokyo were approved in 2012 and 2013, under a subsidy program for supporting SME manufacturers’ prototype development. These projects resulted in the development of heat exchangers with aluminum fins (2-fold improvement in existing thermal transfer efficiency) and with stainless steel fins (1.8-fold improvement in thermal transfer efficiency). Both of these products are already complete, and mass production is being arranged. [Representative's message] Our products are mostly shipped through trading companies, and a direct delivery to an overseas manufacturer or engineering company is a rare occasion for us. We are currently updating our website to attract overseas companies. Our products have been sold mainly to major companies, so we hope to enhance our recognition as a joint development partner. We will do this by making the most of the advantages of having independent accounts and direct transactions. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We are currently updating our corporate website to promote our products and facilitate business talks with overseas customers. We have added language options to our website (Japanese, English, and Chinese), and photos on the catalog pages to enhance its visual impact. Our company has a long history of working with major companies. We have functions such as quality assurance, inspection, and documentation in addition to design and production capabilities. We hope to focus on these strengths, and actively work with major manufacturers from the design phase of new products. We will do this as a manufacturer to make use of our unique technological strengths in the joint development process.
