[Company strength]
In 1978, we became the first company in the world to sell digital blood pressure gauges. As a comprehensive manufacturer of blood pressure gauges, we have an extensive lineup that includes high-function products such as medical/general meters, upper-arm/wrist gauges, analogue/digital gauges and gauges capable of 24-hour measurement, for medical and general use throughout the world with a focus on Europe. We have passed the clinical accuracy test of the European Society of Hypertension, which is considered to be the most rigorous test in the world. Our clip-type pulse oximeters (blood oxygen saturation measuring instruments) have the top share in the Japanese market. In addition, an increasing number of iris-related products in which an IR filter drive and a motor-driven diaphragm are stored in the same unit are available on the market as indispensable parts for day-and-night surveillance cameras.

[Business description]
We manufacture parts for medical equipment and surveillance cameras contributing to security and safety. We develop, produce and sell products that include blood pressure gauges, pulse oximeters (blood oxygen saturation measuring instruments), and pulsimeters in the medical equipment field, and iris diaphragms (automatic diaphragm devices) in the field of surveillance cameras. We conduct our work with a strong focus on measurement accuracy, and a policy of providing our customers with security and safety through products that are more helpful and effective. We have developed our business by consistently applying this policy and utilizing our solid technical capabilities and quality control cultivated by focusing on measurement accuracy.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have core technologies for blood pressure gauges (pressure sensors, automatic relief valves, and blood-pressure measurement algorithms), and for pulse oximeters (algorithms for blood oxygen amount analysis). We handle a wide range of government and general markets. We have developed techniques for the mechanisms required for light quantity adjustment, such as diaphragms related to the performance of surveillance camera lenses, diaphragms combined with a filter switching mechanism, and digitally driven diaphragms (such as the P-Iris), and we have developed techniques related to the mechanisms for cancelling a shift in lens focus. We also have extensive knowledge of camera units.

[Representative's message]
We have actively displayed our products at domestic industry exhibitions and have extended our domestic and overseas sales networks. We continuously upgrade our skills and technical capabilities to meet our customers’ needs and further improve our cost competitiveness and quality while focusing on “Monozukuri (manufacturing)”. We are thus helping to construct an integrated community care system, which is urgently required due to the increasing demand for medical treatment and nursing care. We are also contributing strongly to society by providing quality products.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
In the corporate planning department, we have persons in charge of new customers, who handle inquiries from major enterprises. Staff in the engineering department and R&D respond to technical consultations. For our overseas customers, which are currently mainly in Europe and Asia, we have organized a system for responding in English and German. Nissei International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., our subsidiary in China, carries out business activities, and therefore we can also respond in Chinese.

[Market share/Ranking]
Our production and supply quantities of blood pressure gauges have a high share of the world market. Our share of pulse oximeters by seller exceeds 20% (Yano Research Institute, 2013). Our iris products have a high market share in the surveillance camera industry.
