Our company was founded in 1914, and performs ultraprecise polishing for metals, resins, ceramic glass, single crystals, polycrystals, etc. We utilized our know-how and polishing skills developed for knitting needles, our original business, to expand into the field of electronics. We have a proven track record of polishing the plane surfaces and round surfaces of semiconductor wafers in the high-tech industry for the polishing of video heads in mass production. We excel at ultra-mirror surface processing (nickel surface roughness of 0.008 microns) and precise wrap processing with a thickness tolerance of one micron. We actively perform processing and experimental production to meet the demand for high precision and new materials, aiming to improve our technical capabilities and thus contribute to industry and society.

We have a proven track record of processing metals (stainless steel, nickel, carbide, tungsten, copper tungsten, aluminum, titanium, copper, brass, kovar, hastelloy, etc.), ceramics (alumina, aluminum nitride, zirconia, sapphire, silicon carbide, etc.), glass (crystal, quartz, BK7, etc.) and others (ferrite single crystal/polycrystal, silicon single crystal/polycrystal, germanium, carbon, Teflon, etc.).

Our strength is mainly mirror surface processing of the plane surfaces of metals, ceramics, single crystals, etc. (for example, Rz = 0.008 μm of nickel). Depending on the shape and material, we are also strong at precise wrap processing with a thickness tolerance of 1 μm. We perform mass-processing of the ultra-mirror surface of single-crystal material measuring diameter 120 × 5 t with a planarity of 0.3 μm or less.
