[Representative's message]
We think the potential of air blasting has not appeared at all yet. Our group has about 290 employees, and about 80 staff members in the technical and development departments are developing technologies and their uses. To keep up with the era of the IoT (Internet of Things) we are devoted to making devices more complex, enhanced, and combined. We are changing conventional cleaning, deburring, and surface preparation to blasting, and improving material functionality by making materials strong, hard, and tough. We now support blasting with abrasives as fine as one micron.
[Product and technical strengths]
Automation: Various blasting such as shot peening, deburring, or surface roughing can be completely automated by combining a loader/unloader device and a CNC control or multi-joint robot. Digital injection unit: Our original constant-volume stable injection technology can control the injection amount from a grain size of about 5 µm to 10 mm, irrespective of the abrasive material, whether iron, ceramic, or resin. Sirius Z: This is a mirror finishing device that has realized automation. This device supports plane or atypical polishing, and also can polish inside grooves of about 2 mm or blind holes.
Other presentation
[Company strength] We are a dedicated air blasting machine manufacturer. Our company responds to requirements from customers in all kinds of industrial fields, and we have supplied more than 30,000 machines in about 50 countries. In principle we assign an engineer per machine so that we can design and manufacture semi-custom-made machines. We have about 80 engineers, which is largest number in the industry in Japan, and we provide the best in state-of-the-art yet simple, easy-to-operate blasting machines. [Business description] We design, manufacture, and sell our Pneuma Blaster air blasting machine. We provide services related to this product including commissioned manufacturing and rentals, repairs, maintenance, and modification. We have been a dedicated manufacturer of air blasting machines for more than 60 years since our foundation. We have supplied more than 30,000 air blasting machines responding to the requirements of several thousand customers, without being limited to certain corporations. The blasting process know-how we have gained over many years has made it possible for us to satisfy customer needs in a wide variety of industries. These include automobiles, aircraft, construction materials, electronic parts, semiconductors, and industrial parts. [Industry] Blasting machine manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] Automation: Complete automation for various kinds of blast processing including shot peening, deburring, and surface roughening is realized by combining the loader/unloader and CNC control and/or multi-articulated robots. Digital blasting units: Our original technology for stable blasting with regular amounts enables control over the blasting amount. This is applicable regardless of the type of abrasive compound such as iron, ceramic, or resin with grain diameters from 5 μm to 10 mm. Sirius Z: This automated mirror finishing equipment can polish inside grooves or holes to a depth of about 2 mm in addition to flat and irregularly shaped surfaces. [Representative's message] We believe that air blasting is still at a stage before the dawn of its business potential. From among our 290 staff members we assign 80 people in the engineering and development departments to develop technology and applications. We have been working to improve the sophistication, functionality, and integration of our machines in our efforts to respond to the age of the IOT (Internet of Things). We have been striving to reinforce functionality in our blasting applications including the base treatment, blast polishing, and the strength, hardness and toughness of the materials. This is in addition to the cleaning and deburring that we have always offered. Blasting with very fine grains of one micrometer in diameter is now available. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We established Fuji Blastech (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Thailand as sales base for Southeast Asian markets. They offer air blasting machines, related products such as abrasive compounds, and after-sales service. This company has a test room for prototypes where Japanese employees are always present, where you can decide on the machine specifications and select abrasive compounds. We have been trying to promote our technology to expand in the Japanese market by joining business shows. [Market share/Ranking] We are one of the biggest manufacturers of air blasting machines, with the largest share in Japan.
