[Business description]
We manufacture shims and spacers, clips and clamps, pressed sheet-metal parts, various springs, control boxes, and other metal processed products (by welding, caulking, cutting, etc.). We have recently taken on the challenge of establishing overseas production locations to reduce costs further as part of our efforts to become a front-runner in manufacturing.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Shims and spacers are parts that are used for adjusting height and clearance by loading/unloading a thin plate to/from a gap between objects. It is important to adjust the space particularly in a machine, such as an automobile or aircraft, where highly advanced parts are closely packed. It is possible to prevent the generation of backlash and play, noise, and friction by adjusting the clearance. It may also be possible to replace existing parts with less expensive parts or to simplify the operation. We believe that we can improve the competitive strength of our products by reducing costs and improving quality if we can solve these problems.

[Representative's message]
Given the increasingly fierce international competition and the shrinking domestic market, today’s companies must be able to adapt to globalization. As part of our globalization efforts, we launched a new location in Thailand in 2013 and are currently establishing an overseas supply system. At the same time, we are committed to providing our existing customers with products and service of the highest quality to meet their needs.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
As the environment surrounding the manufacturing business continues to change with further globalization, we are gearing up for training employees and hiring personnel with a global vision, such as excellent overseas engineers. We recently established a technological development location with an eye on overseas expansion in 5 to 10 years, and we are currently working on the organizational framework. We have also launched a technical information website “Special Order Shim.com” for custom-made shims and spacers with a view to sales expansion.

[Market share/Ranking]
The field of high-precision shims and spacers is a niche market, and we have a large market share in pressed sheet-metal parts.
