Nishiyama Chemix Co., Ltd.
We provide assistance with development and prototypes for silicon rubber and rubber products in general.
We provide direct pressure molding of silicon rubber and services assisting with development and prototypes of rubber products in general. We offer customers three kinds of value. We provide peace of mind, mainly with direct press molding. We provide speedy service with ODM production, design, development, and processing of protective film. We provide modules including rubber even without drawings, working from development design and prototypes to mass production. We provide customers with management of planning proposals and development projects for developing modules including rubber, resin molding other than rubber, metal cutting, and sheet metal processing. This is based on our rubber processing expertise and technology.
[Company strength] We believe a corporation’s strength lies in a stable management base and corporate culture that develops human capital having technical capabilities demonstrated in the strength of products and technology. The technical capability brought by human capital with firsthand experience and proposal capabilities in addition to knowledge appeals to customers and has great advantages in project performance. The number of our clients has significantly increased to 134 from 61 four fiscal years ago. We recognize that the most important aspect of our business is to develop human resources who can contribute realizing our company’s goal. This is to stably supply Monozukuri craftsmanship services making the covers people desire. [Business description] Our mission is: “Cover for Lovers: We continue to provide a bit of happiness with the covers people desire.” Our vision is: “A Monozukuri craftsmanship service provider that makes the covers people desire with three business areas.” We engage in these three areas at our Kyoto main factory. (1) The business of providing peace of mind for customers, mainly with direct press molding. (2) The business of providing speedy service with ODM production, design, development, and processing of protective film. (3) The business of producing modules including rubber (assembly of parts or final products) even without drawings, working from development design and prototypes to mass production. [Industry] Rubber product manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] We excel at direct pressure molding for silicon rubber products that are thin (difficult to mold), transparent (hard to control foreign object contamination), and medium-sized (500 mm square). We possess technical expertise and technology for rubber processing as our business base. We are a member of the Kyoto Prototype Network, so another of our strengths is that we offer a “Rubber Navigation Service” for planning proposals and development projects. This includes optimal materials and processing methods at each phase from module development to mass production. It covers resin molding, metal cutting, sheet metal processing, equipment, control, and electrical work in addition to rubber. [Representative's message] “Cover” has several meanings, such as “protect,” “wrap,” “support” and “back up.” We do not believe that our job is complete simply by making a physical rubber cover, even though we are a rubber product manufacturer. We must cover ourselves, our customers, and the desires of the end users who actually use our products. The most important thing for us is when the people who should love the products we provide can feel a bit of happiness though them. We hope to become a Monozukuri craftsmanship service provider to cover people’s desires, with the playful spiciness of the similarity between the words “lover” and “rubber.” [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We have four staff members in planning sales for domestic Japanese and overseas inquiries. [Market share/Ranking] We are in the top class in the industry for direct press molding of thin, transparent, medium-sized silicon rubber products. [Awards and media coverage] [Awards] [Media] The Nikkei, “Reinforce ODM of rubber products” (June 24, 2015); The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, “Challenge of a company from Kyoto: Strength in design and volume production capability” (October 17, 2014), and “Opening of a Rubber Information Site” (February 19, 2012); Cabinet Office and Kyoto Prefecture, listed as an example case of a company approved for its work-life balance (2014 and 2015); NHK E Television, “Good Job!
