Minami Tech Co., Ltd.

We machine a range of metal materials into various shapes.

Our company excels at processing a range of metal materials into various shapes by machining. We manufacture precision parts such as communications related parts, industrial machine parts, and semiconductor parts. Our products are used as critical parts in the field of communications, including the large infrared telescope SUBARU in Hawaii and the ALMA telescope in Chile. We also manufacture press molds for super-high-tension material R&D. We take on research for raising molding efficiency to realize lightweight, high-strength automobile bodies. We are now tackling niobium processing. This is a difficult-to-machine metal material with a high melting point, super-conduction, and high temperature strength.

[Company strength]
Our advantage is our in-house integrated production using a wide lineup of machine tools. Our machine tools include the latest five-axis processing machine, composite lathes, large machining centers, high-speed rotation machining centers, and machining centers for mass production. We also possess high-precision wire EDM, die-milling EDM, lathes, plane polishers, and slot dischargers. We analyze data received from customers by using multiple kinds of 3D CAD systems. We display mold shapes and characteristics as wireframes, surfaces, and solid models to enable mold design with higher accuracy. We can make use of our powerful equipment to handle even difficult-shape machining and satisfy a wide range of requirements for quick turnarounds, high-mix low-volume production, and mass production. Our company also develops materials for several major iron and steel manufacturers. We have sufficient power to handle new materials and difficult-to-machine materials.

[Business description]
All kinds of machining: We excel at machining titanium, Inconel and other difficult-to-machine materials, special materials, and quenched materials by making the most of our machine tools. Our machine tools include a five-axis processing machine, composite lathes, machining centers, wire EDM, die-milling EDM, lathes, plane polishers, and slot dischargers. We possess the technology to manage our EDM machines with 2-micron order processing accuracy in ultra-fine finishing.
Designing and manufacturing press molds: We excel at manufacturing progressive dies and transfer molds for three-dimensional shape parts, drawn parts, and thick-wall parts, and we have trial manufacturing equipment in-house.
Machining various test pieces: Test pieces are used to check and evaluate the performance of materials and to assure their performance and set design specifications. This is why they have strict specifications for dimensional tolerance and processing conditions, including the sampling positions.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company excels at processing a range of materials into various shapes by machining. We manufacture precision parts such as communications related parts, industrial machine parts, semiconductor parts, and defense related parts. We also design and manufacture press molds in-house for manufacturing automobiles and light electrical machines, and for materials R&D (super-high-tension materials). We have the know-how to be capable of handling materials from ordinary steel to unnamed special steel in processing test pieces. Our company highlights high quality, and we perform strict inspections and checks at each process by making use of a coordinate measuring machine or measuring tools. We employ these technologies to constantly take on challenges. We are now tackling processing for niobium, which is a difficult-to-machine material.

[Representative's message]
Our motto is that nothing is impossible. We seek to cultivate the courage to take on the challenge of difficulties and always defy conventional wisdom. We have been working hard since our foundation on the basis of this philosophy. Our goals are to see all our customers smile, to feel a sense of accomplishment and excitement by working, and to give shape to what each customer has in mind. We will continue to take on the challenge of difficult processing. We have been committed to domestic Japanese sales, but we want to give overseas expansion a try if the opportunity arises, because we are in a global era.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our company has an integrated system covering from design to manufacturing in the fields of highly difficult processing and special materials processing. This includes mold development for new materials in the fields of aerospace and communications. We flexibly meet orders for precision parts processing. We can take on mass production, and also high-mix low-volume production, including trial or single-piece manufacturing. We currently have no plans for overseas expansion, but we will consider it if the opportunity arises.
