[Company strength]
We are the only company in Japan that has specialized development power for the foundations of chemical systems and separating materials. This particularly applies to materials and reagents, and makes the best use of heavy metal and trace element sensing technology. We also develop medical equipment for TDM pharmacotherapy management and differential diagnosis. We are now conducting a large project using element sensing technology in monitoring soil contamination after the Great East Japan Earthquake and heavy metals in foods. 

[Business description]
Our company was established in May 2010 for the purpose of promoting biomolecular analysis tool R&D by making use of molecular sensing chemistry. We develop, manufacture, and sell reagent products by making the most of molecular sensing chemistry. Our main products are trace element, trace metal, and electrolyte quantification kits and biochemical marker research kits. We contribute to the development of medical research by developing medical equipment and bio-consulting businesses based on immuno-chromatography and colorimetry. We also promote the development of TDM pharmacotherapy management and differential diagnosis tools with biochemical and immunological techniques.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company independently developed the Metallo Assay series of reagents to measure trace elements in biological samples for the purpose of assisting research. The reagents in this series are widely used among national universities and domestic Japanese pharmaceutical manufacturers as de-facto standard reagents in the field. In 2013 we succeeded in developing a diagnostic agent for monitoring a remedy for bipolar disorder in the blood and in acquiring a patent for it. In May 2014 we licensed this agent to a major medical equipment manufacturer (Nipro) and concluded a manufacturing and marketing contract. In March 2015 this agent was successfully marketed as the extracorporeal diagnostic agent Espa LiII.

[Representative's message]
Our diagnostic agents were developed by making full use of the technical power of Japanese industry-university collaboration, and as expected they are spreading in North America and Europe. We also anticipate demand and opportunities for exchanges in regions around Japan, and particularly in ASEAN countries. We are planning collaborations in areas other than Europe and the United States by considering bio-tool applications in South America (Latin America).

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We established an affiliate company in Iwate Prefecture to further strengthen our Monozukuri craftsmanship functions for the development of sales channels in Japan. We are engaged in consortium activities to acquire new markets via local collaborations with local manufacturing companies. We started to sell research agents outside Japan this year. Their distribution has already begun, mainly in North America. In the future we will strengthen our follow-up services after sales and sales promotion activities for further distribution. Our development staff will quickly provide appropriate responses for technical consulting to solve customer problems in follow-up service both in Japan and abroad.
