Teisan Ohgane Diecast Co., Ltd.
Our molds are mainly used for manufacturing automotive aluminum die-cast parts.
Our company manufactures aluminum die-cast products by casting, deburring, and machining. We also manufacture trial molds up to the 500-ton class and conduct surface treatment and simple repairs for molds. We support high-mix low-volume production. We have been delivering deburred aluminum die-cast products to automobile manufacturers since our establishment. Our main products are functional hubs, brake panels, and exterior cover parts for two-wheeled vehicles and mini-car bearing caps for four-wheeled vehicles. We inaugurated a machining business in 2009 as a second founding of our company, and we remain dedicated to small-lot production.
Other presentation
[Company strength] Our company can handle high-mix low-volume production. We have a track record of indirectly providing aluminum die-cast products manufactured by casting and finished by deburring to an automobile manufacturer (Honda) for 48 years since our establishment. We have mainly delivered hubs and brake panels as functional parts (critical safety parts) for two-wheeled vehicles, as well as bearing caps as mini-car engine parts for four-wheeled vehicles. We inaugurated a machining business in 2009 as a second founding of our company, and we are dedicated to small-lot production of completed assemblies. [Business description] Our company manufactures and sells aluminum die-cast products, and we can handle processing from casting to deburring and machining. Our manufacturing covers various kinds of trial molds including 500-ton, 350-ton, and 250-ton class articles. Our company has recently been delivering products from pressure inspection to part assembly to major automobile manufacturers. We can manufacture trial molds, and conduct surface treatment (spark deposition) on molds. We can also repair simple mold chips in-house. [Industry] Aluminum die-cast product manufacturing and sales [Strength of products/technologies] We have taken on the development of many thin-wall aluminum die-cast products to date. The transition of wall thickness is 1.3 mm, 0.7 mm, then 0.3 mm. Our product advantage is that we receive many orders from major part manufacturers for products that present technical difficulties. Our technical staff who manufacture products are also improving their technology power every year because of these difficult-to-manufacture products. In 2007 we devised and developed a highly efficient recovery machine for die-cast releasing agents (municipal subsidy). In 2009 we engaged in R&D on lightweight, thin-wall products such as engine covers (national manufacturing subsidy). In 2012 we engaged in R&D on thin-wall casing for radar boxes for safety against collision (prefectural manufacturing subsidy). We prepared a highly efficient production system in 2013, which incorporates casting, machining, and assembly, and in 2014 we built up manufacturing die-cast parts within micron-order accuracy. Both of these projects were carried out with national manufacturing subsidies. [Representative's message] We aim to be a unique company while securing domestic Japanese orders and improving our technical power. Companies have been closing their businesses or going bankrupt, but our company mainly manufactures and sells aluminum die-cast products that apply our unrivaled thin-wall technology. We will improve the soundness of our domestic Japanese business and make it completely profitable to ensure uninterruptible overseas supplies before taking on overseas sales expansion. We think it is difficult to survive in the market without taking on challenges. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our president develops sales channels together with the manager of the sales section. We are conducting a feasibility study for overseas sales expansion by making use of JETRO's expert dispatch system (in emerging countries). We are now in the preparatory stage for site establishment but we are temporarily focused on increasing domestic Japanese orders. We plan to appoint a sales section manager as a local representative. [Market share/Ranking] Aluminum die-cast parts for Honda N-BOX and N-ONE mini-cars. [Awards and media coverage] [Awards] [Media] NHK TV, "Ohayo Nippon" nationwide news (December 28, 2012). [Authorization/Certification] Acquired ISO 9001 certification and M-EMS certification (Mie Prefecture version). [Joint research and development] Center for Advanced Die Engineering and Technology, Gifu University: Two cases of consigned research under the Strategic Core Technology Advancement Program. Mie Prefecture Industrial Research Institute: Joint research on thin-wall aluminum die-cast products. [Main Clients / Business History (domestic)] We have experience in delivering two-wheeled vehicle parts mainly to Honda. Our company has also been delivering two-wheeled vehicles parts to Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki for 48 years since our establishment. Our customers include Kubota, which manufactures agricultural machinery and implements.
