[Company strength]
Having our parent company as a customer, we are able to actively collect information and exchange ideas on forging technology to supplement our inventory of technology and apply it in our designs. Customers request a truly wide range of die holders. While technology is obviously important, we believe communication with customers is the most critical aspect of producing die holders that satisfy customers. Because we also develop and design die holders, our sales representatives and design engineers work side by side with the customer to provide the optimal equipment.

[Business description]
1. We develop, design, produce, upgrade, overhaul, and weld and repair broken parts of die holders and die sets for various forging presses.
2. We endeavor to maintain and deliver toughness and precision, using world-leading SKT4 steel for the structural materials of die holders for hot forging for automation and labor-saving equipment (material feeders, conveyors, transportation dollies, inverting equipment). In 1982, we developed a single die setting method by improving a compact die using the block building method, from the uniform structure seen in conventional cast steel, and combining it with a die conveyor.

[Strength of products/technologies]
The hard plate changer (HPC) die holder that we developed is a system that dramatically reduces the time, labor, workforce, and floor space required to change dies and improves safety by firmly securing the dies while maintaining precise concentricity in forging presses. Our HPC systems are in place in over 100 production lines in Japan and abroad. We have also contributed to the reliable supply of forged products with our involvement in peripheral die changing equipment, material feeders, and other automated conveyor equipment.

Our three-member sales division serves as a prompt and attentive contact point in Japan. We have constructed an in-house system, with a development sales team member as our contact point, for handling overseas business. We work in partnership with trading firms to ascertain customer needs and expand our made-to-order sales business.

Kusunoki is almost synonymous with die holders for hot forging presses, which demonstrates how well known we are in the forging industry. As the only designer and manufacturer of made-to-order die holders in Japan, we are the leader in terms of market share and in terms of standard of quality, short turnaround, and technology.
